Farmhouse style seems to be all the rage. I still have some trouble always discerning between “farmhouse” and “coastal”, particularly when it comes to porches. I hadn’t really studied Chip and Joanna Gaines’ home when looking for ideas for my porch, but from watching Fixer Upper, it seems to me their porch is much like this. Having a big old farmhouse table on the porch is just perfect for summer dinners
This red and white farmhouse was a classic “I” house to which an addition made it into a classic “H” house. The porches are simple and only slightly raised from the rest of the home’s elevation.
