A Life in Celebration
A Life in Celebration
This week was a life in celebration of so many things, but mostly about baking! It should have been a little more about blogging, but priorities change sometimes. I feel the time I spent in Maryland this fall was so important for my daughter and my granddaughters, but it did leave a hole in Celebrate & Decorate. I am hoping the new year will be a fresh start. This is the current wallpaper on my phone. This is from last Christmas, but you can see why I made these three a priority this past few months! Yes, that little one is silly, not just in this photo!
I started off the week with a quick trip up to our home in Cleveland. I had dinner with a dear friend and got to see this gorgeous sky on my flight back to Florida.
Back in Florida, it was all about the baking! I baked 150 of these cut out cookies and now have about half of them decorated! This is the most amazing recipe! You can find it at Celebrating with Nutmeg Sugar Cookies (which is not really what we call them)!Today was a beautiful day for walking in Celebration. Not only did I get in my 10,000 steps, I went over 15,000! This sweet little truck was parked downtown so I had to get a photo with it! It says it all, doesn’t it?If you are looking for a link party to link up at this week, check out Happiness is Homemade over at my friend, Carol’s Bluesky at Home! Earlier this year she and I discovered we are sorority sisters! It made our friendship even that more special!

I hope you have a great week and take a little time for yourself before the holiday craziness!
Chloe, I love this new series you started. I must try those cookies, they look wonderful. Wishing you a most joyous Christmas season❤️
Thank you so much Pam. This was one of the takeaways I learned at KariAnne’s Inspire workshop. She is still a much better storyteller than I! I hope your holiday is lovely and peaceful!
Those cookings sound delicious! Love the photo with you and the truck!
Thanks so much Liz! Merry Christmas!
Those girls are such sweet priorities! How precious!
And I’m going to give the cookie recipe a try.
I did not know you have a home in Cleveland. I lived in the area of Cleveland, Ohio for 30+ years and my boys are still in the area. Our LakeHouse (summer nome) is 2 hours east of Cleveland in Edinboro, Pa. So we are still connected to the area.
Merry Christmas my friend!
Nancy
Thank you Nancy! Yes, they were a major priority this past year. I can’t say enough about how yummy that recipe is!
Yes, we raised our family in Strongsville and now still have a condominium on the lake in Lakewood. I have fond memories of sailing of the coast of Pennsylvania. Anchoring off of Presque Isle was a favorite.
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
The 30 plus years we were near Cleveland… it was Strongsville as well! What a small world!
Oh my! Did you kids go to school there? My husband and our children attended Muraski elementary school, Center Jr. High and then of course, the high school.
You look so cute with the red Christmas truck! Hope your well!
Thank you so much Cynthia! Merry Christmas to you!
Love the photo of you next to the truck!! Thank you so much for sharing my cocktail. Have a great weekend!
Thanks Michelle, I am so fortunate to live in this sweet little community with fun things like this truck going on!
