A Life in Celebration

A Life in Celebration

What is a 5 star day for you?  For me, I know I am having a 5 star or “red letter” day when I am on a roll, getting lots of things done!  When I am in and out of Target before you know it and those automatic doors aren’t opening fast enough for me, that is a GREAT day.
I have been getting so much done at home, I am feeling so good about getting organized and following through with my 2020 plans.
I am trying to focus.  Focus on the things that matter to me, which include Celebrate & Decorate.  What do you want to see here?  I would love to know!

Do you want to see crafts? Household tips?By the way, I am ordering this fabulous rug  I first learned about this gorgeous rug from KariAnne at Thistlewood.  When I saw this rug in person at her Inspire workshop this past fall, I knew this was the one I had been looking for!  Can you believe the 10′ x 14′ (the size I need) is only $242.14?!!  I can’t wait to share pictures of this when I get it in my living room!
Do you want to see tablescapes?  Party planning?
Do you want to see videos?  Recipes?
Help me make Celebrate & Decorate more successful.  The way that will happen is when I bring you, the readers what you want to see.  What do you need that I can help you with?

  1. It is good to ask now and then, I did the same kind of survey for my blog. My answer to your question is “all of the above.” We are multi-faceted people, and like your blog for its variety. I like your beautiful tables, and your crafty creativity. Videos not so much, but other people like them. In the end, blog about what makes you happy.

    1. Thank you so much, Carole! I REALLY appreciate your input! When you have people subscribing, but not really leaving comments, it is difficult to know what it is they are looking for. Interesting, I am not a fan of watching videos, either, I would rather read and look at the pictures, but you are so right, other people LOVE them! Thanks you, I will continue to blog about things that I love, and you do the same!

        1. Good morning Chloe. I just subscribed and am enjoying your site. I, too, am not fond of videos. I am starting a new “recycled garden art” business and am interested mostly in crafts. I just retired and need some extra income. I plan to open an Etsy shop and do a craft show once a month. Loved your wreath. Have an outrageous day. Kathy

  2. All of the above for me too! It’s nice to see something different each time. Your pictures are lovely and valentiney! Not a word but it should be haha. I’m also not a huge video fan I much prefer pictures ❤️

  3. I love tablescaping, kitchen stuff, tea gatherings, etc. One thing most bloggers fall short on is talking about their flatware. They use it, but neglect to tell us the name and mfg. of it. Or the story behind it. That would be fun to read. I’ve been searching for appropriate flatware this year and would love to get input. J

    1. Thank you so much for taking a moment to let me know what you enjoy reading! I am likely in that group that fails to talk about my flatware, I promise to change that, thanks to your comment! The flatware I use everyday is Classic Shell by Oneida. It has been a classic all of these years, but I noticed I am missing quite a number of my salad forks. Alas, I will have to rely on Replacements.com to pick up enough new ones! Good luck with your search, I will let you know when I use my other flatware what it is!

  4. Chloe, I think you have a definite style that shines, and you should keep doing what you do so well – tablescapes, great crafts for doors, porches, tables and indoor decor (and the tutorials), and whatever else that stays true to your personal style. I personally like the pictorial and word tutorials, but I love the option of seeing your videos too. I have watched those as well.

    1. Thanks so much Cindy! So interesting that so many of us are not big video people, and yet my videos get so many views! I guess those viewers aren’t likely to stop by and leave a comment!

  5. I love your blog, and the variety you present. The photography is always on point and lovely. I am a passionate tablescaper, but I do wonder why, on so many blogs the menus and recipes are never provided. That would be something different to do, the tablescape and the menu and recipes, soup to nuts . Whatever you decide will be fine with me. thanks for asking.

    1. Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to let me know what you like reading! Interesting, I am planning a post on my favorite dinner party menu with recipes! I will keep that in mind and see if some of my fellow table stylists are interested in sharing the same!

  6. Hi Chloe! Well, unlike a few people here, I LOVE your videos!!! You have such an easy, approachable persona on camera – it makes me adore you more. I personally love your DIY craft projects (I still hate you for the shipping box topiaries – so cute!) I’d try not to pigeonhole yourself too much – A., you are too talented to just “do” one thing and B., variety is one of the reasons I love your blog. Just continue to be you!

  7. I love your blog. I like all of the above. Having a variety means I can read what I want, saving those posts I am interested in for later and not being locked in to just clothes for example. I love decorating and making things. I’ve not really been one to decorate my table, but have become a fan in the last few months. I love todays table with the roses and doilies. Thank you for asking and good luck moving forward.

  8. Your work is beautiful. Yes, I am one of those that love your videos no matter the subject. I continue to learn so much from you. You inspire me. Thank you for teaching us how to do so many things.
