A Life in Celebration

A Life in Celebration

This is the first of a post I hope to make a weekly tradition!  I have been trying to get started with this for several months now, but alas, life gets in the way, doesn’t it?  Celebrating Life in Celebration is all about my life in my little community of Celebration, Florida and what I have been doing, cooking, creating, and so on, this past week!  I used to share these things at the beginning of my Celebrate Your Story! link party, but have let that go.

Most of my week was filled with last minute preparations for a tablescape and Christmas tree I decorated for a local benefit.  There were so many gorgeous tables and trees!  I loved how they nestled the champagne bottles among the ornaments on this pink and gold table!

I restyled my Peppermint Tablescape for this event!  I think it looked even better than how I styled it in my Tavern Room.

On Saturday my dear hubby and I took a well-deserved day off.  Are you guilty of not taking in the sites and activities where you live?  With Walt Disney World just a short ten minute drive away, we often overlook the wonderful opportunities afforded us there.  Currently we don’t even have park passes, but that does not stop one from entering the hotels and taking in all of the magnificent Christmas decorations.  This life-size gingerbread house is a tradition at Disney’s Grand Floridian Hotel.  We spent a good part of the afternoon at an outdoor patio, part of the new Enchanted Rose lounge enjoying lovely weather and a delicious cheese tray.

We made a stop over at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge where this picture was taken, too!

Oh, and I made a little video this week!  I needed to make a swag for my front door and my VERY talented videographer suggested we video it!  By the way, he also just started his own blog!!  Nest and Trek…because he likes to stay home and travel???

And…

There is no snow here in Florida, but I adore my dear friend, Kristen’s gorgeous Northwoods Home!  If you haven’t seen it, set aside some time and check out her home that looks like a Hallmark Christmas movie set!  White Arrows Home.

You know if KariAnne did it, it is fun!!  Check out these ideas!
