Celebrate Your Story #59

Can you believe a new year is here?  2017…what will it bring from you?  In 2015 I challenged myself to step out of my comfort zone.  This year I am challenging myself again to take chances, take some risks and reach for greater heights.  My home won’t get a lot of new things this year.  We need to do some maintenance, paint and get a new roof.  I do have a smaller project planned for the living and dining rooms I will be anxious to share with you.  The rest of the year will be filled with party and entertaining tips, DIY projects, tablescapes and fun!

Featured Links from Last Week:

Each week your hosts, Sandra and I each choose two links to feature, and we also feature that link which received the most clicks the previous week.  img_6284I was blown away by this amazing tablescape by Smashing Plates Tablescapes for saying Goodbye to 2016 and Hello 2017.  Catherine really did it up in style, didn’t she?  cdtowergraphic_orig

This might not be the prettiest post I have chosen to feature, but I  have to admit I am now wondering where I could find one of these to tuck into a tin started y space.  This is from Just Measuring Up, and you have to click over and check out how Ash checked out what was in the wall before he started breaking through.  spinach-dip1

Sandra’s first feature is Michelle’s spinach dip in a bread bowl found at  Just 2 Sisters.  I know this is a classic for my parties, especially when my son will be there, this is one of his favorites.  champagne-collageSandra’s second feature could easily have been one of mine.  I don’t drink alcoholic beverages very often, but if I do, it is Champagne or a Champagne based drink, so these cocktails are right up my alley!  Carol at Bluesky Kitchen shared no less than 5 Champagne Cocktails for New Year’s celebrations.  merry-christmas

Last, but certainly not least are the beautiful images of a Merry White Christmas from Candlelight Supper.  This was our most clicked link last week.

Will you link be featured next week?  Link up and let’s get this party started!

  1. Don’t have something to post this week as we are working on many many projects in our house. I don’t know why I always have to do several at once, but that is me. You and Sandra both have amazing and informative blogs. I enjoy them so so much. Thank you for featuring some quick snapshots of my Christmas Day. Love, Valerie (candlelightsupper.com).

  2. Happy New Year, Chloe, and thank you for hosting Celebrate Your Story. Starting with my blog, I’ve organized my past year in my uniqie way, and shared that with readers. The organization the new year suggests is something I actually look forward to, as are these features each week. Here’s hoping you achieve all the goals you set out to in 2017, and enjoy the blessings of health and friendships along the way.

  3. Chloe and Sandra, thank you so much for featuring my Champagne Cocktails. I really have to give credit to my husband who is the bartender in the family. I love a glass of bubbly or Prosecco or Cava anytime. It’s such a festive drink, low in alcohol, and all you need is just one. Love the party.

  4. Hi Chloe and Sandra, Thank you so much for featuring my New Year’s Eve tablescape. What a great honor and surprise to see it this morning when I opened your email.

Thank you again and have a Happy New Year!
