Celebrate Your Story Link Party
Welcome to Celebrate Your Story Link Party, fellow bloggers and readers alike! I am going to share a little of my personal story this week. How are you keeping warm during these cold February days? I made a quick trip up to Ohio this week so I am feeling the cold instead of sweating in the unseasonable hot weather in central Florida. I am working on a couple of Valentine gifts I will share this week along with a lot of other housekeeping items since this is the first time I have been in our Ohio condominium since late November. The first step was to turn up all the lights. My hubby loves having all of the dimmers turned down low, but since I am used to the Florida sunshine, I cranked up all the lights. Next step was to head out to the store to stock up on all the staples like toothpaste and toilet paper! With those things finished it is time for me. I have ordered a couple of books on hand lettering lately and I want to improve my hand lettering. I just hung an oversized chalkboard in the Florida house and I really need to up my chalkboard skills too!

Oh, my, no problem. I just cannot stop looking at those beautiful books!!!
How fun to “up your game” with hand lettering! Both books look great! -Marci @ Stone Cottage Adventures
Thanks Marci…the progress is slow! LOL
Oh Chloe, those lettering books look very fabulous! I took an entire semester course of hand lettering in college, I just love it!! I need to brush up, I often peruse Pinterest for font and lettering and try to copy, but I would love to have one of these books for reference…my have to treat myself to a little Valentine gift 🙂 Thanks for hosting and sharing!
Oh and have you ever tried chalk pens? They are fantastic and so much easier than chalk!
Jenna, I just picked some up and will be practicing with those later this week!
What a fun book, Chloe! Just realized that some of my pics have a Valentine chalkboard that I (obviously) free handed …. You’re too sweet to judge, thank goodness! 😀 Thanks so much for the party. Have a wonderful week!
Oh, Cynthia, I don’t dare judge anyone else’s free hand lettering…still practicing! Thanks for coming to party.
Hi Chloe, thanks for stopping over at my blog today. I am glad you liked my valentine’s sign. I have always been envious of people with amazing hand lettering skills…and the books sound really fun! I am putting it on my list of things to learn… as soon as I have time to spend on this, I will! Thanks for the inspiration! Hope you had a great Sunday!
Oh, I know, there is always more to learn than there is time to learn it! Thanks for coming to the party!
