It is time for more inspiration for your Christmas tablescapes!  I have teamed up with 29 other talented tablescapers!  Take a look at my casual Christmas table with my red truck with the bottle brush tree inspired tablescape and then head on over to the links at the end of this post to see all the different looks created for Christmas tablescapes!

Red Christmas Truck Tablescape

For this Christmas tablescape I decided to use my tavern table, which is our everyday table.  I have set it casually for a comfy family meal.

Red Christmas Truck TablescapeA faux greenery garland was laid in a serpentine pattern down the middle of the table for a centerpiece.  I parked one of my red metal trucks right on top of the garland and then dotted some artificial red poinsettias into the garland.

Red Christmas Truck TablescapeRed snowflake placemats made my green dinner plates stand out.  Dinner plates were topped with these cute little plates from Target with a red car with Christmas tree on it.

Red Christmas Truck TablescapePlaid napkins continue my casual feel to the table.  Wooden handled flatware from Ikea and glasses with rattan wraps give a little bit of a woodland feel.

Each place setting had a little metal ornament from Target, either this little camper, a truck with a tree or a little Woody with a tree.  These would be sweet little giveaways to my guests.Red Christmas Truck TablescapeMy snowy tray sits on my sideboard with larger models of the truck, camper and Woody.  Battery operated lights are tucked under the snow and make it glow at night.

Red Christmas Truck TablescapeIn the evening the glow is lovely.  A perfect setting for spending time with family and friends.

Red Christmas Truck TablescapeA store bought cake was trimmed with red and green M&Ms and topped with another little ornament sporting a bottle brush tree on top.

Red Christmas Truck TablescapeOn the other side of my tavern room, the bar top also got a little decor to carry through my theme!  I will be giving away one of these red Target trucks to someone who has commented on any blog post in December!

  1. Chloe, this is really cute. If there was ever doubt that I loved plaid, one just has to step into my sunroom, lol. Your table is full of fun, for kids or adults. My favorite thing is that tray on the sideboard. It looks like a campsite, lol. And what a clever thing in how you decorated the store-bought cake! Love the rattan wraps for the glasses too – any season!
Your capacity to create, celebrate and decorate is off the charts. Thank you so much for leading the tour and inviting me along. It’s been my pleasure. Happy Holidays!

    1. Rita,

You always have the kindest words. I am thinking of using the idea to embellish store bought cakes more often, when I do not have time to bake! Thank you again for joining in!

  2. Good morning, Chloe. In Dallas this am it is 30 degrees but sunny. I definitely want to pursue the little truck theme. Watched your FB show on the tray and that is on my list of to dos. Merry Christmas and thanks for being such an inspiration.

  3. Oh how this little red truck has captured my heart. My family did have a little red truck, so it is even more meaningful for me. This table is absolutely darling. 5. You did it yet again Chloe, first and foremost…thank you for hosting this blog hop. It is always so much fun. I love your cake! Simple to do, yet it speaks volumes. The little red trucks are so cute and I used that theme last year and it is even more popular this year so you can be sure you will see my little red truck and cars this year too. Look for my little car on a purchased cake…thanks for the inspiration as always.
Merry Christmas from our house to yours.
    Hugs

  6. One of the cutest themes I have ever seen. I am just a country girl at heart, so of course I loved everything about it. It looked so warm and homey. We do a table escape at our Church during the season, so that would be one that would look so good. It was not overdone and just the right amount. Next year since you are so good at this, you could do a train theme. You would do great at it. Thanks for sharing and hope you have a Very Merry Christmas.

  7. So cute Chloe!! And the cake made me laugh! Such a Christmas delight your table and vignettes are! I can tell you had a lot of fun with this~ Thank you so much for organizing these wonderful blog hops, have a very Merry Holiday season!

  10. This is adorable! I recognized the little camper as I was just at Target the other day and it immediately caught my eye but I didn’t see the trucks. They really had some cute decorations this year! Your table looks great!

  11. Merry Motoring Chloe! I adore your trucks and cute car plates at the table, along with the ‘plaiditude’ the napkins bring! What a festive way to top your store bought cake! Thanks so much for all your organizing efforts. It’s always a pleasure to blog hop with you. ♥

  12. You’ve taken the “Red Truck” to new heights and adventures! What a terrific tablescape using this fantastic item as your centerpiece! I like how you’ve placed it on the greenery garland and added the vibrant poinsettias. The plates with the red cars and trees were “made for” this table and look so coordinated with the truck theme. And it makes the whole room feel like part of the tablescape when you have the other areas decorated in a similar fashion – great tray on your sideboard and your bar top is equally charming. Then there’s the coordinated food – a truck & tree on that delicious looking cake – awesome idea! I really enjoyed seeing what you’ve done with the Red Truck theme on a table as I’m currently working on one too. 🙂 Thanks so much Chloe for all your efforts in hosting these friendly and inspiring Blog Hops this holiday season. Merry Christmas to you and your family!

The trucks and campers are adorable and when you threw in the plaid napkin it sent me over the edge!! Fun and warm!! Thank you so much for allowing me to take part in your wonderful hops this year. All your work is much appreciated. Maybe some day when you are in Lakewood – we could meet!!! I live quite a bit south of the lake but I have family that lives in Avon Lake! 20. YES, you have all of us with envy! The table is lovely, comfortable looking so you can really enjoy. The red trucks add such a down-home feeling, and the plaid. You did it just right and thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful, Merry Christmas, from another (South) Carolina girl who enjoys seeing what you come up with in every post.

  21. Chloe, your table is so fun, love the red truck theme. The plates are darling. Tucking the plaid napkins really mKes the table pop. I do adore the wood table. It works perfectly with your red truck theme. The cake looks fabulous all decked with with the traditional colors. Thank you for organizing another fun tablescape blog hop. Merry Christmas.

  22. Beautiful. All the trucks have inspired me to locate my daughter’s pink Tonka pick-up from her childhood. It will be in my Christmas tablescapes. Our son tried to throw all his small cars & trucks away after he graduated from college. I rescued all of them & they have been again claimed by him. He happy that I save the! Merry Christmas to all.

  23. Chloe, I keep telling myself that one of these days I’ll buy a small red truck to put by our tree’s train set. I love your theme and all those red trucks. Really, just so darn cute! I really want to thank you for hosting your Christmas Tablescape Blog Hop and allowing me to be part of it. Merry Christmas, my friend!

  24. Very cute. Now that I have grandsons, the red truck theme is especially appealing. No trucks left at our Target! Drat. I too think the casual theme is wonderful and will be looking for a red truck for next year.

  25. Absolutely beautiful – as always! I love the vintage touches, and all that red and plaid looks fantastic in your home. Happy holidays, and thank you for hosting!

  26. Casual, comfortable and all Christmas! That red truck has won my heart. Your balance of color is cozy comfortable. It does not tire the eye, just sort of guides it to the next little treat. You are truly talented. Thank you for the inspiration and new visions. As a grandmother I have seen many little red trucks but never as decor. Sometimes on the floor after I stepped on them and believe me that vision was not good. The final plus has been your use of traditional red and green, my favorites.

  27. if I did, I’d do exactly what you have done. They are so fun and such a great pop of color against the white walls. And if you get bored, you can just rip it off and start over! Visiting from Redo It Yourself Inspiration party.
