Country French Springtime Table

 Country French Springtime Table

I decided to use these rabbit plates to set a country French springtime table.  I bought these years ago and have used them for Easter tablescapes in the past, but decided to take advantage of the French style of the plates for a different look.

For glasses, no fancy goblets here, just clear glasses with rattan wraps to stay with the natural and less formal look of this casual table.  I don’t think I have ever styled a table with my napkins in my, but it felt like the best look, so inside they were tucked!

Lavender is one of the things that makes me think of the French countryside, so a variety of artificial lavender was the perfect choice for my centerpiece.

A rustic box looks like the lavender has been planted in it, perhaps on a windowsill!

Simple wooden handled flatware carried through the rustic country feel of my simple table.  This is a perfect casual table for a week night dinner.  I promise I won’t be making a French rabbit stew, but will likely serve a simple salad with a homemade French dressing and perhaps some coq au vin, one of my husband’s favorites!  Every table doesn’t have to be a production, nothing stops you from setting a pretty table any night of the week!

  2. Cute! The lavender looks great in the wood centerpiece – along with the woven placemats it does have a wonderful natural, casual feel about it. And who doesn’t love a cute bunny plate!!

  3. A spring table without pastels is perfect for this time of year. Around here it feels like spring will never get here which makes a spring mood feel far away. Lovely table Chloe!
