Fall Tablescapes for Inspiration

Fall Tablescapes

I have never been so anxious to start styling Fall tablescapes.  I don’t know why I am rushing the seasons this year, but I feel like I could decorate for Halloween tomorrow and Thanksgiving next week and Christmas in a couple of weeks.  Perhaps it is because the house has come together so much since last year.  This is the first year I haven’t felt that the house really needed furniture or painting, or something.  So, today I am taking a look back at previous Fall tablescapes.  Fall tablescape with Pottery Barn PlatesOur first year in our new home I had very little furniture so I set this antique table from my mother in front of our fireplace with a couple of mismatched chairs.  The stars of this table were the beautiful salad plates from Pottery Barn which caused me to ask, Should you Invite Birds to the Table?
Fall Tablescape with feather and magnolia centerpieceThis table was one I styled in my condominium before we found our home here in Celebration.  Looking back, I like this table, but I think my style has evolved a lot since I set this Thanksgiving Fall Table.  Thanksgiving table in Green and white

Of these seven tablescapes I have set, this one is probably my favorite.  I loved those white pumpkins, but I loved the green ones I found to use on this Table in Green and White even more.  They are so lumpy and unique.  I hope I can find some orange ones with such personality this year.

Fall table in pastelsLast Fall I filled white pumpkins with pastels and styled a non-traditional table for this Pretty in PInk Thanksgiving Table.  This year I think I will stick with traditional colors and flowers.  I loved the white pumpkins, but I am just leaning more towards traditional colors this year.Bountiful tablescape for FallUntil I looked back, I hadn’t even realized that I had used the white pumpkins with this my Bountiful Harvest table where a cornucopia crowned the table with its bounty tumbling out and down my table.  Somehow I was stuck in a rut with a lack of color last year.  This tablescape was more traditional but lacked much color.  Golden Tablescape for FallThis was my favorite of the four tablescapes I styled for Fall last year.  It has more color, but still was not bright in any way.  I have unpacked my pumpkins and discovered all of my golden pumpkins and the golden antlers.  I do think this looks like the Golden Autumn, which is what I titled this one.  I styled this for my Fall Tablescape blog hop last year.  I have a week’s worth of fabulous tablescape bloggers ready to show off their interpretations of a Fall tablescape coming up the week of August 28th.  Feathery dishes for a fall tablescapeI found these amazing feather plates last year and styled a table around these beautiful dishes.  I loved incorporating the shades of blue into my blue dining room with this Feathery Fall Table.  Looking back is a good exercise for the creative tablescaper, it makes me want to do a better job and dig through my cupboards for different combinations of dishes to set a pretty table this Fall.  Are you ready for Fall dishes, Fall colors, cooler weather?

  1. You always do a great job on your tablescapes. Your centerpieces are always works of art! I love fall and all it brings but hold off until mid September to jump into fall decorating. I love all the different colors of pumpkins that are available these days!

  2. It is amazing how you forget your own tablescapes! When I look back I am amazed, too.

Great tables, Chloe. I love a review.

I’m ready for cooler temps but I know it will be a while for our part of the country. Hard to think pumpkins, we don’t see real ones until October.

    1. I guess I have some extra motivation, I have to travel for two weddings in September and then my daughter, son in law and two granddaughters are coming to stay as they transition out of the military. I want to get everything for Halloween and Fall done I can now, so I can just play with those girls!

  3. These are so pretty Chloe and I enjoyed taking a second look. I do love autumn but I’m not ready and still have a few more summer ideas that I want to share. That being said I will be ready to share during the blog hop and have a few ideas already. So many ideas, so little time!!!!
