My Favorite “Local” Shops

I know that my blog is read by people around the world.  I travel quite a bit, but I can’t be everywhere, so today I will bring you a few of the unique places around the United States where I like to shop.  I would love to feature your favorite places to shop in your neighborhood.  Let me know where you like to shop and I will feature those in future posts!

duoHome

DuoHome – Cleveland, Ohio – duoHOME is a boutique home furnishings and accessories store stocked with unique merchandise. The intimate store features an ever-changing collection of well-designed products in a variety of categories, many produced locally and/or with a “green” focus.  duoHOME principals Tim Kempf and Scott Suskowicz are also talented interior designers – the duo are known for their casual, comfortable contemporary interiors, often with a Mid-Century flavor.  When you find yourself in Northeast Ohio, check out their shop!

Poketo, Los Angeles, CA

Poketo – Los Angeles, California  –  This fun store has so many interesting things, from a patterned bicycle bell to a polka dot milk bottle.  This little gem is a great place to find a unique gift for a unique person.

24e Design

24e Design Company – Savannah, Georgia – Unique and custom furniture pieces are available at this modern furniture store which carries a line of unique and eclectic home furnishings and some great little gift items.  I picked up some wonderful white truffle olive oil to take along as a hostess gift when I stopped in here last month.

Flutter, Portland, Oregon

Flutter – Portland, Oregon – Just in case you are interested, I would love the beautiful Capone Rooster decorative pillow they have in their store.  It would be difficult not to find something here that wold delight someone on your gift list this year from this little gem of a store.

Watson Kennedy Seattle

Watson Kennedy – Seattle, Washington – I always find something I want to buy at Watson Kennedy.  A book about Paris cemeteries?  A vintage hotel cocktail shaker?  Wether it be quirky, vintage or classic, you can find it at Watson Kennedy.

I look forward to sharing your favorite places to shop locally in the future.  If you find yourself in one of these locations, check out these shops!
