Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein Cakes

I don’t know why the Frankenstein couple became my muses for these Halloween cakes, but they have certainly stolen my heart.  Who could not smile at this cute and crazy couple?  They are Halloween all the way, but not scary at all!

Frankenstein Couple

Isn’t this a fun couple?  I just used a couple of long loaf pans and baked a cake in each, one chocolate and one white.  If you want to make this project even easier,  you could always use the large size Sarah Lee frozen pound cakes and decorate them.  They may not be as large, but if you are running out of time, it would be a simple alternative.

I used frosting I colored with paste food coloring, gave the pair some malted milk ball bolts for their necks and some candy eyes.  Don’t you love the hairdo on the bride?  Kind of reminds me of Marge Simpson.  How about her eyelashes?  She is quite the flirt!  Frankenstein cake

These two got all the attention at this Halloween get-together and were the stars of the party table!  Happy Halloween to you from Frank and his Bride!

    1. Thanks Jenna! I thought the Bride of Frankenstein was such an original idea, until I ran in the grocery store and saw it on the cover of a Halloween cookbook! They were popular at my niece’s office, where I dropped them off! She was white cake and he was chocolate!
