Halloween Tablescape and More!

Gather ’round and hear a tale
that started long ago on the Sleepy Hollow Trail..

he rides the night through the foggy pall.

With glowing pumpkin raised on high, through woods and thickets he seems to fly.  So don’t be caught on a Halloween night or the horseman will give you a terrible fright!

I took Dollar Tree jack o’lanterns and painted them with a flat black paint.  One topped each place setting.

Tiny battery operated lights gave a glow to gray tulle I arranged loosely down the center of the table to suggest the fog my headless horseman was riding through.

Headless Horseman Halloween tablescapeIt kind of looks like the horseman left a spooky jack o lantern at each plate, doesn’t it?

Headless Horseman Halloween tablescapeThe fun really begins when I turn on the lights in each of the jack o lanterns!  Look out!  The horseman is coming!

Spiderweb placemats were set beneath black pierced edge chargers, each topped with a gray dinner plate and a silvery salad plate.  Napkin rings were very simple for me, just black on black ribbon tied neatly around white rolled napkins.
