When I saw these beautiful pheasant salad plates last year, I knew they would be finding their way to my house. These are the perfect for Fall aren’t they? I found them on sale at Pottery Barn in early November. It was a little late for me to use them last year, but I knew when I got my dishes out of storage these would set a pretty Fall table. We invite turkey to the table for Thanksgiving, so why not invite these pretty little pheasants to the table too?
I love the combination of the chargers and the dishes, both with the pine cones and pine needles on them. I chose these wood handled flatware to keep the natural look on the cherry table.
I don’t like those yellow walls and cannot wait for the painters to arrive. But if you saw the post, Come Inside My New Home, then you would know that the fireplace didn’t look like this originally! I am not ready for the full reveal quite yet, it will be coming!
Do you like the centerpiece? I made this myself and plan to post a DIY on how easy it is to create this yourself. I was so happy to reuse the collection of pheasant feathers that I purchased and used for last year’s centerpiece. You can see the magnolia leaf and pheasant feather centerpiece here. That one was so large that I needed to remove it for dining, but the way I set this table, an oversized centerpiece is not blocking anyone’s view. Which one of the centerpieces do you like best?
Even with the incredibly hot weather we have still had here in Florida, I was ready to set a pretty Fall Tablescape.
I haven’t selected a dining table yet, so I am using my grandmother’s cherry drop-leaf table along with a pair of Restoration Hardware chairs and a pair of twig chairs. Do you like different chairs at a table or do you prefer them to all match?
