Springtime at Home!

What does Springtime mean to you?  Do you decorate your home differently in the Spring?  Are you ready for pastel colors of yellow, pink and lavender?  Even though I live in the “Sunshine State” and have an average of 236 days with sunshine a year, I look forward to the pastel colors which mean Spring to me.

Farmhouse Easter CenterpieceSpringtime always means Easter which includes eggs and bunnies and all that go along with them.  Last year moss bunnies and pastel eggs were nestled in a wooden wheelbarrow along with my toolbox filled with more moss bunnies, cabbages and tulips.  Cabbages are a cold weather crop, I guess that is why I always associate them with early Spring.

Neutral Easter Tablescape

A few years ago I styled a rather neutral table, this one with faux flowering branches in a watering can.

Easter Coastal mantel

I do love flowering branches and they certainly say Springtime to me.  Last year I added some faux cherry blossoms and hydrangea to the coastal elements on my  mantel.  Blooming branches for springtimeThis is one of my favorite displays of flowering branches.  I stumbled upon it a few years ago on the blog, Fairy Creations, but, alas, it seems she is not blogging any longer and has closed down her blog.  I need to collect some more demijohn bottles and stage a display like this on my tavern table!  In Florida, those branches will have to be artificial or shipped in.

Easy Easter CenterpieceThis little bunny is one of my favorites to bring out every Spring.  I am sure he is meant to be an Easter decoration, but I see no reason why he can’t hang out from February until May, don’t you?  After all, he is just picking some carrots!  DIY Easter CenterpieceMy most favorite Springtime or Easter centerpiece is this beautiful carrot centerpiece from Southern Living.  The link will give you the step by step instructions on how to put this together.  I just might try this myself this year!  Thanks for coming along as I have shared all my Spring inspiration, now for more, come along this coming week as I host a Spring Tablescape Blog Hop!  I will be sharing my table on Thursday, but follow along the schedule below to view all of these great bloggers and see how they have interpreted Spring on their tabletops!
