Who wouldn’t love to live on the beach? I would love to be able to sit in my home and gaze out over the ocean, watching the waves crash against the sand. Just writing that makes me feel at ease and calm. I am so lucky to get to live right on Lake Erie when I am in my home in Ohio, but there is nothing like a beach house. To get up each morning and take a stroll on the sand would be heavenly. How about a nighttime walk watching the moon reflected on the water?
Gorgeous beach house!
The high ceilings in this room give it such a feeling of expansive space. The windows look out over the water, just lovely.
Beach house bunkroom
…lots of extra beds for all those guests that are going to want to come and visit when you live by the beach! I hope to have a bunk room built into my new home to house my grandchildren. A bunk room just seems so fun, tucking into your own cozy little space.
Beach style master bedrrom.
This master bedroom is dreamy. Wainscotting on the walls, the plantation shutters on the windows and the shuttered front on the armoire all add to the coastal feel of this room.
Lovely more formal kitchen.
This is a lovely white beach house kitchen, although I would choose to have a more spacious kitchen with a much bigger island.
Great coastal look, love the wainscoting and the pulls.
Check out the framed flip flops for art!
I love, love, love those inexpensive frames with simple flip flops in them! Such a cute idea to get a beach feel for little dollars! Dollar store flip flops would work just fine!
Lovely kitchen, the woodwork and wood ceiling evokes beach style to me.
I love the trompe l’oeil.
Every beach house needs an outdoor shower.
Every beach house needs an outdoor shower to wash off all of that sand, right? This is kind of the ultimate in beach house necessities!
Do you live on the beach? I would love to see your pictures and hear your thoughts about living with the ocean in your backyard!
