Sunflower and Blue Tablescape

Sunflower and Blue Tablescape

This past week I have been all over Italy!  My husband had some business over here, so we turned it into quite the adventure!  One of my favorite things has been the amazing fields of sunflowers!  They go for miles and miles, or actually kilometers and kilometers.  Sadly there was never anyplace to pull off of the highways to get a good photo of them.  It makes me want to come home and style a table or make a wreath, but for now, I thought I would re-share this pretty one from 2017!  Enjoy!

Sunflower and blue tablescapeStyling a sunflowers and blue tablescape wasn’t really something I planned in advance, it just sort of happened.  I was going to demonstrate a fall centerpiece on a Facebook Live the last week and I gave my viewers a choice between two bunches of flowers I had on my table.  One of the bunches was typical fall flowers and leaves and the other was blue flowers and sunflowers.  The viewers picked the blue, so that is how this centerpiece and this table came to be!  Come on by one of my Facebook Live videos and give me your feedback of what you would like to see!  I love to give my viewers opportunities to participate in what I make!

You can see in these sunflowers with the blue centers why I just had to style another sunflower tablescape!  Gourds and berries and pumpkins were added to my centerpiece to give a nod to fall’s approach.  Fall tablescape with sunflowersFall tablescape with sunflowersIf you want to make your own custom napkin rings, check out my sunflower DIY ones!

    1. Oh, Ann, thank you so very much. The dishes are actually so simple, but this is a table we have been dining at every day. It was fun that I let my viewers pick which colors I would use for my centerpiece, and I was so happy they went with the blue, since that is what coordinates with my interior!

    1. Thank you Jenna, I had never thought of this combination either, but found those sprays of deep blue hydrangea and sunflowers and the rest just came together, with simple blue and white dishes, letting the centerpiece be the star of this table.

  3. I loved your other sunflower tablescape – but since blue is my favorite color (and the color of my dining room) I love how you incorporated sunflowers and hydrangeas together to create this “blue heaven” with the “sun”. Thanks for sharing your creativity.

    1. Thank you Darlene. When I set the other table, I had no idea I would be styling a second sunflower table, but when I found the sprays of blue and sunflowers and then spotted those sunflowers with the deep blue centers, I just had to make this centerpiece to enjoy on my own tavern table.

  4. Tablescapes always have a vibe or feeling and this one is quiet and sophisticated in a very inviting way. The color blue paired with the sunflowers is a winning combination and against the wood of the table, it is striking.
    Beautiful styling Chloe!
