The View from Foxglove Hill: Fall Tables and a Smoky Mountain Getaway

It’s a short visit from Foxglove Hill this week, as I’m heading to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, Tennessee, with my granddaughters! We’re also planning to explore Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and I’m looking forward to spending this time together. Before heading off, I wanted to share a few lovely things happening here at home, including a new fall tablescape, a peek at the pergola, and a centerpiece ready for an autumn gathering.

A Beautiful Table for Fall

I shared a new fall tablescape on the blog this week, and I hope you’ll stop by for a closer look. Putting together a seasonal table is one of my favorite ways to welcome autumn. Whether you’re planning a special dinner or simply want to make an evening at home feel a little more festive, I hope you’ll find a detail or two to inspire your own table.

Fall Under the Pergola

The pergola is almost ready for fall! There are still a few finishing touches to add, but it’s coming together, and I’m looking forward to gathering around a table out there. With the woods as a backdrop, it feels like such a lovely spot to enjoy the season.

A Centerpiece for an Autumn Gathering

I also styled a beautiful fall centerpiece that I couldn’t wait to share with you. A centerpiece is often the starting point for my table, helping me decide which dishes, linens, and other details to bring together. This one has me looking forward to our next opportunity to entertain!

I’m always looking for new ways to style my antique French dough bowl, and this combination of pumpkins, leaves, pinecones, antlers, and artichokes turned out to be just right for fall. I love how the varied shapes and textures come together to create a centerpiece that complements the rustic beauty of the bowl.

This autumn table isn’t new, but certainly deserves a look back as it embraces the woodland vibes I am feeling right now.

A Few Finds for Fall Hosting

To finish this week’s visit, I’m sharing a few lovely finds for fall hosting. From pieces that dress up the table to serving essentials you can use throughout the season, perhaps you’ll find something that calls to you.

These lovely napkins bring a little French farmhouse charm to the fall table! Inspired by vintage embroidery samplers, their printed florals and warm harvest hues would pair beautifully with green dishes, woven placemats, and a few pumpkins. Soft cotton, tailored mitered corners, and easy machine washing make them as practical as they are pretty.

A little candlelight makes a fall table feel so inviting! These amber glass candle holders from Kate Aspen have lovely fluted details and a vintage look that pairs beautifully with autumn leaves, pumpkins, and woven textures. The set of six would be perfect scattered down the table for a warm glow at your next gathering.

A crock pot is certainly handy, but these beautiful chafing dishes bring so much more elegance to a fall buffet! Their gleaming gold accents and polished silver finish make even a simple menu feel special, while keeping food warm as guests help themselves. Imagine them alongside autumn greenery, pumpkins, and glowing candles—a lovely way to serve everything from a cozy fall supper to Thanksgiving dinner.

Thank you for stopping by Foxglove Hill! I’m off to enjoy a little mountain time with my granddaughters, and I look forward to catching up with you when I return.
