Thanksgiving Tablescape Blog Hop

Thanksgiving Tablescape
and Blog Hop

This busy time of the year finds us celebrating another holiday, Thanksgiving is just a week away in the United States and this is one of my favorite holidays.  I try to always live life with a grateful heart, but at Thanksgiving, I think so many of us are more likely to think about and be thankful for our blessings.  Today I am especially appreciative for all of the bloggers who join me season after season sharing their amazing talents and creative ideas.

I hope you will take the time to visit these other blogs and see the creative ways they have interpreted Thanksgiving in their lovely tablescapes.I have added two small colorful turkey pitchers to my table, both will be filled with hot turkey gravy to add to turkey, stuffing, potatoes and dumplings.

A fall floral centerpiece will greet guests as they arrive and then find itself moved to the sideboard to make room for generous dishes of food.  Wood slices will serve as trivets for additional hot dishes.

I am hosting a big crowd for Thanksgiving this year, so I have pulled out my old Target pinecone dinnerware.  I bought all of the pieces I could when this pattern was available, but now wish I had purchased even more of the dinner plates!  For this table, I paired the dinner plates with green Sierra Pine salad plates by Bonjour.  The chargers are Better Homes and Gardens for Walmart.  The solid colors of each of these layers with the raised pinecone patterns complement each other so perfectly.

A turkey platter sits on each end of the table, ready to be laden with juicy sliced turkey!

These little turkey salt and pepper shakers were purchased for my by my husband a few years ago because they reminded me of the pair my mother always had on the table for Thanksgiving dinner.  My mother recently gifted me that original pair, but alas, the paint is flaking off, but these two will do!

I hope your Thanksgiving is filled with good food, family and friends.  I give thanks that you have come and visited Celebrate & Decorate!

  1. Chloe, I really like the look of all those solid pine cone elements layered – that’s all very classic and great for those of us who love layering our tables. The chargers as trivets are a great idea, and I may just use that for my quartz kitchen island at Christmas where I serve my buffet.

Again, many thanks, now and throughout the year, for all you do in the blogging community. You’re a gem.

  2. Chloe, I’m swooning over the turkey pitchers! Where did you find them? Such a good idea for serving gravy. Another great idea I’m gonna copy is using the woodcuts as trivets — genius! I currently use mine as chargers, but now they can have another purpose. Those Walmart chargers grace one of my tables too. They go so perfectly with your plate stack! Great dual holiday use too with Christmas in the wings. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

  8. My sweet friend, your table is gorgeous as usual. You have such a talent for tablescapes as well as DIY’s….and I laugh every time I think of the many conversations you and I have had at Haven conferences, as we discussed your DIYs and my attempts at DIY’s. I am sure your family (little grand daughters in particular) will ooh and ahh over your turkeys on your Thanksgiving table. They are perfect as are your plate stacks that encompass all the colors in your fresh flowers. Very pretty. I know you work so hard on preparing these blog hops and we are so appreciative of your efforts. And I say it over and over, but it can not be said too many times, that if one does not come away with ideas or inspiration from all the creative efforts of so many, then they are not looking. Happy Thanksgiving my good friend.
