Fall Porch Decor

Fall Porch Decor

I was so happy to once again be invited by Amber of Follow The Yellow Brick Home to join her and a group of other talented bloggers as we all share our porches and patios decked out to celebrate fall!  I hope you take the time to visit all of the bloggers who have decked out their entryways for fall!

I am getting all decorated for fall on the front porch and I don’t think I will take it all down for Halloween as I have in the past.  I am enjoying the break in the temperatures here in Florida and being able to spend some time out on the front porch.

I have used lots of fall colored leaves and flowers on my front porch this year, but I have included pops of blue too!  The cushions on my front porch are blue, my shutters and my front door are blue, so it is natural for me to add a little blue to my fall decorations.

Of course nothing says fall like a cozy plaid throw, ready to wrap up in should the evenings turn cool.  Can you believe this gorgeous pillow was only $5.00 at Walmart?  For the front door I made a small faux floral swag and dressed the sides and top of the entry with coordinating florals.  You can see how I made those at Make this for Your Fall Front Door.

Live chrysanthemums are in blue pots on the steps which are full of pumpkins and gourds and lanterns with battery operated candles that come on each evening.  I love the glow of the light against the pumpkins. Two more large chrysanthemums are in big blue pots flanking the front door.  Here in Florida there is no worry of an early frost so they are nestled in with my live ferns and boxwood topiaries.

Come and sit awhile on my front porch, these little birds are happy to have you join them, as am I!
