Supplies for making your swag:
27 inch flocked bunny
faux cabbages
artificial greenery
artificial variegated greenery
pastel plaid ribbon
yellow wired ribbon
18 gauge floral wire
36″ x 12″ x 2″ green styrofoam sheet (I got mine at Joann)

The supplies I used to make this swag are a sheet of styrofoam, pipe cleaners, ribbon, flocked bunny rabbit, paper wrapped ribbon (18w) and a variety or artificial flowers and greenery and three faux cabbages.

Here is an idea of the size of the styrofoam sheet I used to make this 5′ long swag. This sheet is 36″ x 12″ x 2″.

The first thing to do is to make a hanger for your swag. Take a piece of 18 gauge floral wire and bend it in half as shown.

Push the ends of the wire through your foam.

On the front side of your foam sheet, take a piece of a pipe cleaner and bend it back and forth as shown. When you pull your wire down tightly, this will keep the wire from cutting through your foam sheet.

Do the same thing on the back side and then take the ends of the wire and bend then into a circle to use as a loop to hang your swag when it is finished.

The next step is to add the bunny. I used two pipe cleaners wired together to go around the bunny’s neck and hid it under the ribbon around his neck. Slip a piece of the 18 gauge wire beneath the pipe cleaner. Bend the wire in half and stick the ends through the foam sheet.

You will have to do the same kind of thing on the back of the foam sheet with a pipe cleaner to keep it from cutting through your foam.

This will be enough to hold the bunny securely, but he will wobble around.

To begin to keep the bunny from moving around, use some large faux flowers to stick into the foam right next to his body. I used hydrangeas for this and they held him fairly well. The rest of the flowers and foliage you add will keep him secure.

Begin to add greenery to your foam to form your swag. I did decide to cut of the corners of my foam to keep my shape a little better.

If you are having trouble getting your stems to hold in the styrofoam sheet, add a little hot glue around the stem to make sure it is secure.

Add your greenery all around so that you have hidden the styrofoam.

Begin adding flowers to your swag. I used pink and white hydrangeas, white daisies, daffodils and three artificial little cabbages. Use a variety of sizes of blooms to your swag.

Here is how it looks with the hydrangeas and cabbages added, you can see it needs some smaller blooms to give it variety.

After adding all of the flowers you want to add, it is time for some fun ribbons. I used some yellow wired ribbon and pastel plaid ribbons.

My swag is ready to display on my front door! Get creative with your own swag with your own selection of flowers, color of your bunny and ribbons! Have fun and enjoy!
