How to Make a Fun Carrot Decoration for Easter!
I have seen so many adorable artificial carrots this spring season at Michaels and I have to admit more than a few have come home with me! Do you ever do that? Bring home craft supplies and then do nothing with them? I have made a commitment to myself this year to use up craft supplies, so I have started making my carrot crafts! This is the first one, I hope you like it!
I began with a single wooden pillar candle holder. You can probably tell from the gunk on the top that I have used this for things other than candles in the past!

Take a round of styrofoam and cut a small hole in the middle of it, as shown. I used my large carrot to measure how large the hole should be.
These are the three items I am going to use to make this!
Use hot glue to attach the styrofoam circle to the candleholder.
Make sure the styrofoam circle is secure! You don’t want your carrot to find over.
Add some hot glue to the tip of the carrot and stick it down into the hole in the styrofoam.
Let’s make it pretty now! I selected orange and white daisies and a few white hydrangeas for mine, but you can use whatever flowers you like. I began with the white hydrangea blossoms. Cut the stems short and stick them into the styrofoam.
Cut the daisy bushes apart, into individual stems. Add those, filling in your arrangement at the base of your carrot.
Make sure you cover all of the styrofoam with the flowers.
Finish off your arrangement with fun ribbons that coordinate with your flowers!
You have a fun a pretty arrangement to display for springtime or Easter! A pair of these would be perfect on each end of a long dining table or a sideboard. Add easter eggs or bunnies to yours if you would like!
