A Life in Celebration

Are you feeling like it is spring where you are? Here in Florida I am afraid that the hot summer temperatures will be upon us before long. Do you have children or grandchildren on spring break already? My granddaughters don’t get their break until the week before Easter, but I am looking forward to having them visit that week. My daughter would join them, except she has a new job! I am so very excited that they will be moving to the Atlanta, Georgia area!!! This will make it so much easier for me to visit more often! I will admit it, I would be all for living on a compound with my family!!

Saint Patrick’s Day is next week! Do you celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day? I don’t really celebrate other than maybe picking something green to wear that morning. There have been years when I have hosted a dinner and of course the table is all dressed in green! Think about setting a fun Saint Patrick’s table for your family!

The Easter craft I did this past week is decorating a lantern! You can find these lanterns at thrift stores, craft stores or Home Goods! This tutorial is something you can use to decorate a lantern for any time of the year! It is amazing what some faux flowers and ribbon can do to an old lantern! Check it out here!

My sweet local photographer I use to come and shoot my home when is decorated for a holiday mentioned she wanted one of these large pink bows you have seen on doors and walls. I took on the challenge and created a GIANT bow! I created a second one that is a little smaller. You can see a video of me making it here, or see the blog post with all of the detailed instructions and measurements!

This is NOT my pantry! If you want some tips on on organizing your walk in pantry, my friend Chas has 11 great ideas for pantry organization!
