Life Lately at Celebrate & Decorate
One of the things I have always loved most about blogging is that it allows us to share not only the finished projects and beautifully styled tables, but also the real life unfolding behind them. Lately, life at Celebrate and Decorate has been filled with new beginnings, creative inspiration, evolving plans for our new home, and a season of gathering ideas before bringing them fully to life. I thought this would be the perfect time for a little “life lately” update and a chance to bring you along behind the scenes once again.
Everyone has been asking for pictures of the new house. After living in a picture-perfect Southern coastal home with that gorgeous wraparound porch, I’ll admit—I’ve been a little hesitant to share the front of our new house. It doesn’t exactly have the curb appeal I’m used to, and honestly, I couldn’t even figure out what style it was supposed to be.

But now… we have a plan!
My husband and I have spent hours standing outside, staring at the house, talking through every possibility and trying to decide which direction felt right. We are so excited to take this current exterior and begin transforming it into a charming Craftsman-style home—one thoughtful detail at a time. (Yes, I used AI to envison this change)

What do you think? I am looking forward to the changes and will be sharing it all right here at Celebrate & Decorate!
Meanwhile, I finally styled my first tablescape here in Georgia! You can see all about it right here: A Toile and Topiary Tablescape! Lily is really enjoying her big yard but still wants to be right in the middle of everything! Please take a moment to check it out and let me know what you think of this new location for styling tables!

There are still so many things left to do in the new house—a dining table and chairs that won’t arrive for a few more weeks, lamps for the primary bedroom I’m still waiting on—but I know it will all be worth it in the end.
Even with the unfinished spaces, there are already so many little corners of this home that I absolutely love. One of my favorites is this mirror hanging above one of the pair of red Hooker bombe chests flanking the fireplace in our living room. It’s one of those spots that is finally starting to feel layered, collected, and us.
And the horse sculpture? Such a great HomeGoods find! I know pieces like that can be hit or miss depending on what your store has in stock, so if you are looking for a similar look at a comparable price point, I found this one on Amazon.
The reason behind our move is all right here. Celebrating Mother’s Day with my daughter and my sweet granddaughters felt like the beginning of a beautiful new tradition—and a reminder that moving closer to family was absolutely the right decision.

I look forward to popping in here on a much more regular basis and sharing more tablescapes, holiday decorating inspiration, home decor ideas, and all of the little details that make gathering at home feel so special. There is still so much to do, so much to decorate, and so many memories waiting to be made in this new home—and I can’t wait to share it all with you.
If you are doing any Amazon shopping, I would truly appreciate you stopping by and taking a look at my Amazon storefront! If you make a purchase through my links, I earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
Your support genuinely means so much and helps me continue creating and sharing more tablescapes, decorating ideas, entertaining inspiration, and all of the beautiful little details I love bringing to Celebrate and Decorate.

Chloe, I LOVE the AI assisted version of the remodeling the front of your home. What a difference it will make to add all the Craftsman touches. Great idea to use AI…..I may do that for our cabin (which I think has an odd front entrance). Love seeing the pictures of your daughter and very grown-up granddaughters! Oh my! They are no longer the little girls I remember. So fun to see what you are up to and excited to see more of your gorgeous home.
Thank you so much Mary! I cannot wait to get started on the front of the house! It is actually quite fun to play with what you might want to do with your home using AI. Oh, yes, the girls are getting SO grown up!
Wow what a transformation – can’t wait to see it. Everyone looks so lovely – so glad you were all able to be together.
Thanks so much Chas! It is so wonderful to live so close by!
Chloe! Love the new house and wooded area behind, even if you dont make the architectural changes for some time (but love the Craftsman style). I cannot believe how grown your granddaughters are. Has it really been that long?? Family matters, for sure. Loved the tablescape out back too, and how crazy that the cloth faded like that! Have a great summer working tour magic in the new house.
