A Christmas Breakfast Tablescape

Ever since we renovated our kitchen and built in this little banquette, it has become a favorite place to dine, but especially for breakfast! I am expecting my granddaughters to arrive from Maryland next week and I know they will enjoy dining at this Christmasy gingerbread table!

I set the table with white dinner plates topped with Kate Spade Rutherford Circle Red Accent luncheon plates by Lenox. Gingerbread snowflake appetizer plates finish off the plate stack.

This sweet gingerbread themed table runner works well when folded in half, or laid out on my kitchen island!

For the center of the table, I simply added two of my Pottery Barn gingerbread houses. If you want to light these up, I highly recommend these rechargeable light bulbs. These bulbs don’t get hot and they have a timer feature and all kinds of colors!

I believe this pillow was from a collection that Target featured in the Dollar Spot several years ago! The rest of the cozy pillows on the banquette are Euro-sized with down and feathers. They make this a favorite spot to snuggle in, not just for a meal, but with a book, too!

The seasonal pillow covers include red and white ticking covers, white waffle weave covers and Stewart plaid covers.

Stemless wine glasses also make perfect juice glasses for this casual Christmas table! I own quite a few of these and bring them out for large gatherings as they are much less likely to be knocked over than traditional stemmed wine glasses.

Red and white plaid cloth napkins help to bring that punch of red to this fairly neutral table setting. These will be used at many holiday tables throughout December and reappear come summertime!

Pottery Barn has added so many new gingerbread items to their collection this year, there is something for everyone!

My granddaughters especially enjoy the little salt and pepper shakers that are tiny gingerbread houses!

These sweet gingerbread snowflake appetizer plates are a perfect way to add more of that gingerbread decor to the tabletop.

With the battery lights in the houses, they glow as if someone is tucked inside!
