A Luxurious Fall Tablescape

Tis the season for all things autumnal. Pumpkins, falling leaves, hot tea and warming soups are all perfect for a cozy dinner party. But it’s always the little details that take things from nice to sensational. If you’re wondering how to set the a beautiful fall tablescape, worry no longer! This is a autumn table setting that will wow your guests.

Setting my dining room table is one of my favorite things. Coming up with new fall table decor ideas is a challenge of the season, and one I cherish!

Place Settings

Gathering friends around your dining table this time of year is a great way to connect and enjoy an evening of conviviality.

The warm colors in this tablecloth I found at Home Goods seemed just perfect for the fall season when I spotted it. Feather placemats add a touch of luxury while carrying through the earth tones of the tablecloth.

I have never used black dinner plates with these salad plates, but with the color scheme of the tablecloth as a base, I thought this was a perfect pairing.

Black linen napkins were tucked into bone napkin rings, additional natural elements to complement the fall table setting.

I have used these Juliska Forest Walk salad plates many times before, most often in the fall. I combined them with purple dinner plates for a Still Life Inspired Tablescape. I paired these with gray dinner plates for a A Creative Way to Decorate Your Table for Fall.

Floral Arrangements

So often I build a table runner style of centerpiece. This time I wanted to do something entirely different. I selected two large urns to fill with bountiful floral arrangements for maximum impact on my luxurious tablescape.

The grand seasonal centerpieces were the focal point of this stunning fall table. I selected natural materials of, fresh magnolia leaves, eucalyptus, and witch’s broom.

The fall colors in the flowers gave visual interest against the neutral tablecloth. I was unable to find any fall flowers, but the alstroemeria, roses and ranunculus in vibrant colors filled in perfectly. White snowberries offered some contrast.

Additional Centerpiece

I will likely move the oversized floral arrangements further to the ends of the table as we gather to dine. However, I could not leave the center of the table empty.

It was a good idea to add several votive candles to add a warm glow to this table display. Tapers in ornate candlesticks would have been too much. I didn’t want anything to compete with the fresh flowers.

Some additional magnolia leaves made a nest for my pheasant that has appeared over and over again this fall along with some white pumpkins, gourds and votive candles. Additional pheasant feathers carried through the theme and color palette.

Small white pumpkins are nestled among the magnolia leaves and a found deer shed antler.

The best part of styling a beautiful tablescape is getting to host a fall dinner party or family gathering around the table!
