A Backyard Wedding in Early Fall
A backyard wedding can be an easy way to plan a budget friendly wedding, but it can also be a family celebration that is close to home, comfortable and welcoming for both the special couple and guests. This lovely wedding shows how this backyard celebration expressed the personality of both the bride and groom.
Before finding their seats guests were invited to place cards in a basket and drop a few coins or bills into a bottle marked “honeymoon fund.” Guests also were asked to sign the globe – instead of a traditional guest book. What a wonderful keepsake that will be for them to treasure over the years.
Instead of having a wedding program for each guest this sign served the same purpose.
The bride’s bouquet was comprised of succulents, boltonia and yellow craspedia.
The wedding arch was created from metal piping and secured into the ground. It was draped with a light burlap.
The reception tables were decorated with vintage books and a small arrangement of flowers. The flowers were held by a mug with the first letter of the new family’s last name. Glass jars were also on the table, some held pictures of the bride and groom from their childhood.
Fruit infused water and a fruit filled Sangria were offered up for guests to help themselves. All were offered in a slightly rustic setting such as the wooden crate for elevating the beverage servers.
An ample buffet dinner offered a pasta bar with a variety of pastas, toppings including chicken, a red sauce, an alfredo sauce and roasted vegetables.
