Elevate Your Easter Décor: A Charming Straw Bunny Display on a Cake Stand
A simple store-bought straw bunny can become a stunning Easter centerpiece with just a few creative touches! Instead of displaying it as-is, I gave mine a little refresh by removing the original trim and elevating it—literally—on a cake stand. With a few charming accents, this sweet bunny is now the perfect focal point for a festive spring display. Let me show you how to transform an ordinary bunny into a delightful holiday decoration that feels custom and elegant!
This is how this bunny came decorated when I bought him a couple of years ago. Most of them in the stores look about the same way. I wanted to give him an updated look.

Don’t hesitate to change the way something came from the store. I took off the ribbons and the cluster of flowers and then used hot glue to add a bright new artificial daisy to the bunny.

I spotted this white metal cake plate at Target and thought it would be an ideal base for a fun Easter display.

I tried out my bunny on the cake plate and he fit perfectly, so it was time to go to work creating!

I hot glued a small block of dry floral foam to the cake plate.

Next I used a generous amount of hot glue to the bottom of the bunny to attach hime to the cake plate.

I attached him right next to the block of foam.

You can use inexpensive Easter grass to cover the block of foam.

I used a few floral pins to attach the grass and keep it in place.

After securing the green Easter grass, I added a couple of speckled Easter eggs. My eggs came on wires, but if you have eggs that don’t have wires on them, you can stick a firm floral wire or a wooden skewer into the egg and then stick it into that block of floral foam.

Next, pick the spring flowers you would like to use in your decoration. I started with small daffodils. Use wire cutters to cut down the stems until they are short enough to push into your foam.

In addition to the daffodils, I added some small daisies and a couple of larger white gerbera daisies.

When you have the flowers looking the way you want, it is time to add some ribbon. I selected this pastel gingham ribbon.

Tie a bow with the ribbon, secure it with a wire and add it to your arrangement.

Now you have an adorable Easter arrangement to display anywhere in your home!
