Decorate a Festive Easter Lantern
Welcome spring with a beautifully styled Easter lantern that adds charm and festive elegance to your home! This delightful DIY features a sweet bunny statue nestled inside the lantern, surrounded by artificial eggs and lush spring florals in soft shades of yellow, white, and pink. To complete the look, I adorned the top with gorgeous patterned ribbons, creating a cheerful and inviting display perfect for the season. Whether used as a centerpiece, an entryway accent, or part of your Easter tablescape, this lantern is a simple yet stunning way to celebrate the beauty of spring. Let’s get started!
This is the lantern I started with. You can find these lanterns at thrift stores, or on Amazon.

Any Easter bunny figurine will do to add to the inside of your lantern Even one of those colorful flocked bunnies will do!

I glued the base of my bunny to the bottom of the lantern and then added a small cube of dry floral foam glued to the back corner of the lantern.

Add some small artificial flowers to the cube of floral foam. Lily of the valley is a good choice for this tiny spot.

You can see how those flowers are peeking out from behind the bunny.

Add a little larger piece of dry floral foam to the opposite corner (the front right) of the lantern.

Tuck some Easter basket grass all around the bunny.

Use hot glue to attach two pieces of floral foam to the top of the lantern.

Begin to add your artificial florals to the top of your lantern. I began with three yellow tulips as shown.

Next, add some blooming branches, like cherry blossoms or yellow forsythia. Make sure you bend your branches gently down around the the lantern.

Finish adding flowers to the cube of foam inside the lantern.

After adding tulips and forsythia I added cheerful daisies to the top of my lantern.

Add some colorful pastel ribbons of your choice to the arrangement on top of your lantern.

Don’t hesitate to add different ribbons as long as they are all in the same color family.

Finish off the top of your lantern with some Easter picks. I used pastel artificial Easter eggs, but you could also add artificial birds or butterflies.

Now you are ready to display and enjoy your beautiful Easter decoration!
