How to Make an Easy Fall Centerpiece

As we look forward to the vibrant hues of autumn beginning to sweep across the landscape, there’s no better time to bring that warmth and richness into your home decor. In this post, I’ll show you how to create an easy and stunning fall centerpiece using a brown oblong wooden box as the base. With a combination of small faux pumpkins, orange faux marigolds, faux fall hydrangeas, and faux chrysanthemums, you can craft a lush and eye-catching display that perfectly captures the essence of the season. This simple yet elegant centerpiece is the perfect way to infuse your home with the cozy charm of fall.

Begin by wedging dry floral foam inside your choice of a container. I used this nice dark stained wooden box.

Wedge some dried floral foam inside our container.

Take a piece of fall leaf garland and wrap it around the top edge of the floral foam, securing it with greening pins. Try and keep the leaves along the edge of the container. If the leaves are covering the foam you may have trouble sticking your picks into the foam.

Use wooden skewers to push into the bottom of decorative pumpkins or gourds.

Cut the skewers off so they are not too long so you can push them into the foam to secure the pumpkins.

Skewer the pumpkins down into the foam securing them and staggering them down the top of your centerpiece.

Arrange the pumpkins (or gourds should you choose those) in a pleasing manner.

There will still be plenty of space showing in your arrangement. This is where you will add your fall foliage.

Fill in all of those empty spaces with fall flowers as I have done here. You can buy fall bushes and cut them apart to add the individual blooms to fill the spaces between the pumpkins. I also added a few tiny pumpkins to fill in.
