How to style a spring table for two!

Spring may not be officially here as far as the calendar is concerned, but the weather and the early Easter have me fully in springtime mode! A springy table for two is just right for my husband and I to enjoy a delightful meal at our kitchen table.

When designing our kitchen expansion we were stuck with this little corner and it took a bit of time for me to figure out that a banquette with a table was the perfect solution for the corner. This marble topped cafe table from Pottery Barn is the perfect size. For spring, I set this table in pastel yellow and greens.

Long ago purchased hydrangea petal placemats anchor pierced white chargers topped by butter yellow Nicole Miller plates. The salad plates are Pioneer Woman Timeless Beauty jade green salad plates. The rustic little hopping bunnies I added to each place setting are just $5.98 from Walmart! You can order them here!

A large white planter is filled with beautiful green hydrangeas and delicate chamomile blooms. I think the little daisy like blossoms are the happiest little flowers!

The hopping bunnies are just right for springtime or for an Easter table. They will look cute as can be hopping along my kitchen island or fireplace mantel for the holiday!

Cabbages are an early spring crop. Here are some pretty decorative cabbages I have growing beneath my magnolia trees.

Another past Pier One purchase, these delightful little cabbage napkin rings are a nod to the gardens the rabbits might be visiting.

My treasured Lily of the Valley silverware that was left to me by a dear friend is the perfect spring themed addition to this tablescape.

Don’t hesitate to set a pretty table for just yourself or for just your family, it doesn’t have to be a special occasion or for company. Treat yourself as well as you treat guests in your home…you are worth it!!

  2. Chloe, since I was fortunate enough to see this table in real life, I can attest to how sweet and spring-like it is. What you created for this corner of your kitchen, is now the hub of activity. I loved having coffee there every morning of our visit. It is perfectly situated by the windows and sunshine. Great discussions and lots of laughter at this table. Am sharing this on Saturday Meanderings today.

    1. Thank you so much Mary. It is funny, I had originally planned to have my kitchen sink there with a window looking out. After learning how many thousands of dollars it was going to cost to put windows into that block wall my sweet husband asked me if I could re-think the plan for the kitchen. It turned out to be a wonderful change! I love sitting right there at that table, too!
