Setting a Lemon Themed Table for a Ladies’ Luncheon

Of course Lily wanted to be a part of the party and found a comfy chair neirby while I set the table.

Because my front porch wraps around the house on both sides, this side is perfect for afternoon luncheons as it is out of the direct sun.

A cheery plate stack began with the openwork porcelain chargers to which I added a bright yellow Fiesta dinner plate. I added a simple white salad plate and cute little novelty lemon bowls.

Simple yellow stemware coordinates with the lemon themed table. The green leaf placemats are a purchase from Pier One years ago.

I always enjoy topping my plate stacks with a little surprise of some kind. When I spotted these cute little cans of chardonnay wine by Sonoma-Cutrer. The little yellow and white striped cans were the perfect favors for my guests to take home.

Lemon printed napkins were simply tied with yellow and white striped wired ribbon to compliment the striped cans of wine.

I made the centerpiece with fresh lemons and a variety of yellow and white roses along with some white snapdragons. I cut pittosporum from my yard to fill in around the blossoms and the fruits.

  1. So pretty Chloe…and Lily has really grown…She looks a bit tired and perhaps a nap is in order for her. LOL My little Jesse James is always looking to nap…he is just like me…as we get older a quick nap in the afternoon is quite a pick-me-up. I love all the yellow elements on your luncheon table. I haven’t seen the chardonnay cans but then I don’t get out much these days. LOL. I order so much on line. Have a great week, our Florida weather is perfect right now.

    1. Thank you so much Kari! Yes, Lily is three already! She was quite content curled up in that chair! Ah, afternoon naps are such a luxury, aren’t they? I still get out and about, but I do love staying home and just ordering things online, too!
