Celebrate Your Story! #133

Link Party

The official first day of summer is this Thursday, but here in Florida it has felt quite summery for the past month!  I would love to spend some more time up in Ohio getting a break from the heat!  My daughter only has about 30 days left at basic training and then my son in law and granddaughters will be headed West to join her.  I am sure I will miss them, but I think some Ohio time will be coming then.  Thank you for all of your concerns and well wishes about my health.  Even after a round of antibiotics, the effects of the bronchitis are still hanging around.  Thankfully this Friday I have an appointment with an ENT.  I am hoping to get these sinus issues under control and start getting more productive!  I really want to be well in time for Haven!  Let me know if you are going to be attending, and I would love to plan a dinner with any of you!

Featured Links from last week:

I really like Amanda from Domestically Creative’s feature and DIY on how to make a DIY Ribbon Flag Wreath for the Fourth of July.  This is something I could make and display in so many different spots in my home!  My second feature this week is this creative Father’s Day Tribute Tablescape from Smashing Plates.  Catherine lost her father this past year and yet honored his memory with this fun table.

Sandra selected Host The Perfect Summer Fiesta Graduation Party from Our Crafty Mom for a feature this week.  Even if you don’t have a graduation party scheduled this summer, there are a lot of creative ideas to incorporate into a summer fiesta!Of course Sandra would find an amazing cake recipe to feature, and this one has quite a story, and just might be a cake I try and make myself!  This feature is The Best Cake Recipe You Will Ever Make for Father’s Day from Carol of Bluesky at Home.  This sounds like it might be the best cake recipe for any occasion!

The most clicked link last week must have a lot of you thinking about ways to re-purpose found pieces of furniture.  It was Domestic Deadline’s Converting and Antique Radio Cabinet to a Bar Cart.

  1. Thank you Chloe! I am so sorry you’ve been sick, you have much on your plate right now, but it’s so nice that you could help your SIL and sweet grands…your house will feel empty for a while I am sure!

  2. Chloe, thank you so much for the feature. It brought tears to my eyes when I opened your page. I think my sweet Daddy would have loved this table. ♥

  3. Chloe, I’ll be at Haven for the first time! I’m pretty excited and looking forward to all the classes but mostly for meeting fellow bloggers! I live in Georgia so I know what you mean about the heat. The humidity came out early it seems! Thanks for hosting. Hope you feel better soon so you can enjoy your time with your SIL and grands.
