Celebrate Your Story! #63

Can you believe it is the end of January already?  What have you done fun so far this year?  Are you all organized and ready to take on the rest of the year?  I have big plans myself, I won’t be doing any major decorating here this year, but the new fireplace plans are in the works and it is time to have the house painted and a new roof!  I guess it doesn’t matter if I work on things inside my house if the roof leaks, does it?  We haven’t gotten to the leaky stage, it is just time for a new roof.  Maintenance comes first!  What are you maintaining this year?  What are you changing at home?

Sandra’s first feature this week is this yummy Orange French Toast from Penny Pincher Jenny.  This sound perfect for a cold winter Saturday morning breakfast!  I think I would like a mimosa with mine!

Ham and Potato ChowderSpeaking of cold Winter weather, how about Sandra’s second feature, this steamy ham and potato chowder from Olla-Podrida!  A perfect meal for Winter weeknight, hot and hearty!

Sunrise-Meadow-7Have you been touring homes with The Dedicated House?  I have enjoyed these tours so much better than the house hunting shows on television!  I can’t wait to see the house she has picked and how she styles it!

  1. Thanks for hosting Chloe! We got a new roof 4 years ago and we were at the leaky stage – not fun and I hate spending money on things that aren’t that “pretty” but like you said, a roof protects our ‘pretties’!

  2. Oh, sweet ladies! Thank you for featuring one of the houses we toured on our house hunt! We close on the new house tomorrow morning! Needless to say, I’m a tad bit tired. Packing, packing, packing! Have a beautiful week. House #4 will be on the blog Thursday! Toodles, Kathryn @TheDedicatedHouse

  3. Good morning Chloe, and thank you for another week of celebrating and decorating! I’m really enjoying seeing your own projects already in 2017 – your flower cake, your transformed frame (again!) wreath. Your creative juices must never sleep!

Have a great rest of the week.

  4. Sometimes we just have to spend money on the house rather than the extras. Roofing is expensive but necessary. We need to get ours done in the near future. I bet you’ve got something pretty nice planned for the fireplace!
I have been busy with a bit of purging and organizing. I feel so much better about myself when I do.
    Great features- thanks for hosting!
