Celebrate Your Story! # 139

Link Party

Can you believe it is the last day of July?  Boy do the months fly by.  Welcome to another week of Celebrate Your Story!  I am happy to say that with a little break away from my granddaughters in Florida last week, I was able to visit every link last week!  What will August hold for you?  A vacation trip?  Packing someone off to college?  Maybe just sending little ones down the street to catch the school bus, or getting back into the homeschooling schedule.  I will be saying goodbye to my granddaughters and my son in law as they get to rejoin my daughter as she as now finished Army Basic Training and will be starting her training as a radiology technician.  No vacation for me until September, but I am looking forward to it!

Featured Link from Last Week:

Since it is just me this week, I will be selecting all of the features.  I am trying to mix them up and these fun Easy DIY Harry Potter Coffee Mugs Tutorial is from Crystal at Surviving a Teacher’s Salary.  These are so fun and you can use her tutorial would work for any themed mugs you might want to make.  I was fascinated to learn you need to put these in the oven before you turn the oven on to prevent the change in temperature from cracking your mugs!  Now I am thinking about how I could personalize some of these for Christmas gifts! I just love how Lori from Dining Delight styled her Tiered Tray with Garden Decor.  I think tablescapes and vignettes like this are my favorite things about scrolling through Instagram and different blogs.  I love how people can take the same item or concept and come up with a totally different way to style it.  My favorite part of this is the little peat pots she added.  They really made it feel like it was ready to take outside and get gardening with.Sandra has my mouth watering with her first feature, these Delicious Beef Burgers from Olla-Podrida.  Pattie points out that this is national grilling month, and although she says it has been too hot for much grilling out for her, she was happy to share her secret for moist burgers with amazing flavor! These Mini Triple Berry Pies from Petite Haus were Sandra’s second feature this week! Can you believe this was Angelina’s first time making a berry pie?  I think she was successful, don’t you?  Click on over to get her recipe and see the other fancy little pies she made.

The most clicked link last week was this Fruit and Flowers Alfresco Tablescape from Everyday Living.  Pam styles the prettiest tables in her garden and shared this one as one of the entries in the alfresco tablescape blog hop I hosted last week.  If you didn’t get to visit the tables they are worth a look!
