Lemon-Themed Tablescape

Lemon-Themed Tablescape

Just when I thought I was totally into fall I decided to finally style this lemon themed tablescape I have been thinking about for weeks now.

Pretty yellow tablesettingI don’t know why lemons are such a popular choice for tablescapes, but it makes me think of summertime, and we still have a little bit of summer left…unless you are here in Florida, where we have plenty of summer left!

I bought some fresh lemons, but ended up using all faux lemons with a faux garland of greenery.  I simply wound it into a figure eight and tucked my lemons into the garland.

Lemon-themed tablescapeEarlier this year I drilled a hole in an artificial lemon to try it as a napkin ring, but it was very tight and did not have a pretty finish on it.  I simply folded a lemon print napkin with a yellow napkin and topped it with a lemon.

Pretty yellow and white ribbons added some more color to the table with bows on the stemware.

My brushed gold flatware from West Elm were the perfect complement to my place settings.

I returned to my textured throw from Ikea for this tablescape, stretching it over a pale yellow cloth.

Pale yellow dinner plates with a scalloped edge were complemented with scalloped edge chargers.  Both were tucked on top of green leaf placemats.  What does a lemon themed tablescape remind you of?

I will be sharing this at the following link parties:  Tablescape Tuesday

  1. If I lived in Florida I would love to have a lemon and lime tree in my garden. How fun that would be to grow your own. Your table is refreshing and pretty. Love your gold flatware.
Yes, summer will be here for a while.

  2. So cute Chloe! What is it about lemons that make one instantly smile, they simply make everything cheerful! Love the fat fluffy bows on the stemware and the figure 8 garland!! Also all the green leaves~ it’s definitely still summer for a while in the South!

  3. Beautiful as usual Chloe…I love lemons!
I used to have a lemon tree, orange and lime tree too in my Florida back yard but was told they really attract rodents of all kinds and my trees were having a few health issues so we removed them. Now I buy my lemons, etc at the local Farmer’s Market!
I am still working on my new theme design which can be very taxing. Ugh! but hopefully, posts will be easier to navigate.

  4. Light, refreshing and lively!! I’m clinging onto summer also because I know what’s coming. When it’s bitter cold and snow everywhere I will look back at this table and think happy thoughts!

  5. As always, your table is beautiful Chloe! I love they way you designed the centerpiece. I would love to sit down for dinner at this fabulous table and enjoy a nice cool glass of lemonade. I agree with you about the Florida weather. It’s so hard to get in to the “Fall” decorating mood when it’s 90 degrees outdoors and the air condition is pumping 24/7. I’m in Southern Florida and we will not cool down until January if we are lucky.

    1. Thank you so much Catherine! I keep getting motivated by all of the fall and Christmas decorations in the stores under the false hope that if I decorate for fall and Christmas the temperatures will go down too…silly thinking, right?

  6. Here in North Italy is incredibly hot for the season, and summer tablescapes are absolutely appropriates. Love your choice, lemons are always a good idea for a summer dinner
