Sea Life Tablescape
Welcome to an enchanting journey beneath the waves with my latest sea life tablescape! 🌊🐙 This setup is all about capturing the mystique and beauty of the ocean, right on your dining table. The navy blue and white dishes adorned with an intricate octopus pattern set the stage for a maritime adventure. At the heart of the table, a striking silver aluminum octopus serves as the centerpiece, perfectly complemented by matching napkin rings that add a touch of elegance and whimsy.

Join me as we dive deep into the creation of this sea life-inspired tablescape, exploring each element and how they come together to transform your dining space into a coastal retreat. Whether you’re planning a summer dinner party or simply love the ocean, this setup is sure to inspire and delight.

I purchased this dinnerware as a gift years ago and the recipient was kind enough to allow me to style this table and share all of the elements with you.

Sadly, this pattern is no longer available from Anthropologie, however if you have your heart set on it, sometimes it can be found for resale on Etsy or Ebay.

This dark and moody dining room is perfect for this under the sea themed styled table. If you are a fan of octopus dinnerware or kraken dinnerware, Caskata has a nice pattern called Lucy that you may want look into.
The stemware, from Jung Lee’s exquisite Platinum pattern collection, adds a layer of sophistication with its subtle shimmer, reminiscent of sunlight dancing on the water’s surface. Any blue or clear stemware would work for this table, but if you want to go all in on the octopus pattern, this Caskata Lucy pattern stemware is a perfect choice!

The octopus I used for my centerpiece came from Joanns several years ago, but here is a similar one. I don’t feel has quite enough detail for my preferences, but at the bottom of this post I will share some other alternatives.

The rustic wooden table top, with its weathered charm, evokes the feel of an old ship, sailing through uncharted waters. This tablescape seamlessly blends nautical elements with refined details, creating an inviting and captivating dining experience.

I used simple white napkins with a blue embroidered edging, but if I knew that these were available, I would have used them!!

More Octopus Inspiration
I think this bowl from Vagabond House would also make a gorgeous octopus themed centerpiece! It is small, so fill two or three down the middle of your table with the flowers or fruit of your choice!

This creative octopus mug holder would also make a nice addition to your kraken themed table. If you are really an octopus lover, you could also use it to hold mugs on your kitchen counter.

Maybe you are intrigued with the octopus, but don’t need an entire set of dinnerware…how about these tidbit or appetizer plates?

A pair of octopus salt and pepper shakers might be just the thing you were looking for!

Last, but not least, grab some octopus napkin rings to complete your undersea table!

That is one really cool tablescape! I have seen octopus while scuba diving, and they are every bit as creepy as they are cool. The table is perfect with the styling, and I love the heft of the placemats. Beautiful glassware and flatware too.
Thank you so much Rita! I agree, they are both creepy and cool. It is amazing how they can contract into such small spaces, isn’t it? It was fun to play in someone else’s home with their fun things!
Oh Chloe how fabulous! I can’t wait to play with my fishy things at the beach house now! All the octopus things are fabulous!
Thank you so much Jenna. You have the best collection of beachy and coastal things, I love seeing your fun tablescapes done at your beach house!
Those octopus napkin holders are awesome! What a fun tablescape. I just watched The Kraken on Beast Legends and picture the large octopus in the center of your table as the Kraken.
This is the best summer tablescape Chloe! Give me anything with an octopus!
