How to Make a Spooky-Chic Skull Floral Arrangement for Halloween
Halloween is the perfect time to let your creativity run a little wild—and this DIY skull floral arrangement does just that! By combining eerie faux blooms with pops of bright orange roses and placing them on a light-up skull, you can create a piece that’s equal parts spooky and stylish. Whether you set it on your entryway table to greet guests or use it as the centerpiece for a hauntingly fun party, this arrangement is sure to be a conversation starter.
Pick up a faux skull to start this project! (Really, did I have to say “faux skull”?! I certainly hope none of you have a real skull hanging around!) I found this one that lights up which is perfect for displaying for Halloween. You can find a link to this exact skull at the bottom of this post!

Cut a piece of styrofoam about 4 inches square and use hot glue to secure it to the top of your skull!

Begin with some creepy flowers. I used a bunch of these pitcher plant blooms from Michaels. I love the magenta veining in the plants. They add a little bit of creepiness to the arrangement right off the start!

Use some Spanish moss to hide the styrofoam without making it too thick to keep you from pushing your faux stems into the foam block.

Dark red and magenta colored leaves and fungi can be added all around the top of your skull.

The next thing I added was some short pieces of faux silver inch plant. Make sure you add something vining like these if not the exact plant.

Cut apart some of the pitcher plants and add a few of the stems here and there on your arrangement.

For a dramatic pop of color I added artificial bright orange roses. If you want to keep your arrangement more on the creepy side, select some dark burgundy or black roses.

Here is the skull! Ready to go on display anywhere you choose in your home!

I like this displayed on a bed of black garlands! It completes the look, don’t you think?
