A Life in Celebration…Early Fall Edition!

It may have been almost a month since my last ‘Life in Celebration’ post, but that doesn’t mean I have been sitting idly around! After my dad was settled into his new digs, and my sister and I were sure he was all settled, we took off on a four night cruise…just the two of us! As many Disney cruises as I have taken and my sister has taken, we have never gone just the two of us. It was a nice time for us to just breathe after taking full time care of our dad.

I have been busy, busy, busy, creating fall decor and a few Halloween projects! It is craft time in the studio! The front porch is all decked out and ready to greet guests and passers by!

Want to know what happens when you record ten videos in one day? You get a little loopy! Here I was pointing out that “crow’s feet” are really bigger than crow’s feet wrinkles! Next week I will share why I cut the feet off of a crow!

In the meantime, check out what I did with this jack o’ lantern and how I made him even creepier!

The swag on the front door is a brand new creation this year and I am sharing a hint that I have never used myself, but is a winner!

There’s something magical about combining the beauty of fall florals with the rustic charm of a pumpkin. This DIY pumpkin arrangement is the perfect way to bring autumn indoors!

Are you planning your Halloween decorating yet? How about adding some florals to a skull? Make your own spooky, but chic skull by following along the step by step directions!

Let’s do some shopping…

Looking for an adorable coir doormat for fall? I spotted this sweet fox at World Market!

If your style leans more modern these handmade paper honeycomb decorations make a seasonal, but contemporary statement. They also store flat and compactly!

For all of you who know that I live in the Disney developed community of Celebration, just south of Walt Disney World, you would know these are very popular in town! If you are a Disney fan, these are the perfect jack o’ lanterns to light up your porch!

Happy September!

  1. Chloe, so happy to catch up with you! Glad you and your sister had some “away” time~sounds like fun. I love the white pumpkin floral arrangement! I think of you every fall when I take out my faux burgundy chrysanthemums. It’s still hot here but we will start our fall decorating in a few weeks.

  2. You are so talented Chloe…but I knew that from the very first day I met you at Haven…Hugs always Kari @ Me and My Captain
