A Life in Celebration
I hope those of you here in the United States had a blessed Thanksgiving and an opportunity to share a meal with friends or family this past week. Our Thanksgiving was small, just my husband and I and my dad. The number of people doesn’t matter, the feeling between us is the important thing.

This week I am celebrating being in New York City for a few days. New York is such an amazing city, but come Christmas time, it is even more amazing. On Sunday my husband and I got to spend several hours with our son who lives in Manhattan. We don’t see him often, so this was a wonderful time.

The house is all dressed for the holidays and now I am spending some enjoyable time baking Christmas cookies. I just love to gift cookies to friends and neighbors!

This little Santa boot bank has been with me for fifty Christmases! You can read the sweet story about this at my post of my Christmas Home Tour.

You can see this on my bookshelf next to some of my favorite books. If you haven’t read Barbara Hinske’s Rosemont series, I highly recommend it for curling up with one of these books for a cozy winter read!
When I was up in Ohio I picked up several bunches of evergreens and will begin making some arrangements with them for my home later this week. This is the perfect way to add the wonderful fragrance of fresh greenery to your home, even if you have an artificial Christmas tree like I do! I have a step by step tutorial for you right here: DIY Evergreen Christmas Centerpiece.

Beautiful as usual. You always make it so easy for others to make their own. I love the story about the boot. My daughter is now a senior citizen. I have little felt elves almost that old we used at Christmas.
Chloe, we want a tour of your workroom where magic happens.
