An Elegant Easter Tablescape

I always like to set an elegant Easter table even if we end up having a casual meal on Easter Sunday after church. This is a table very similar to what I would set for a dinner party.

One of the things I like to do when hosting is to style a “wow” or showy centerpiece that catches the attention of my guests when they arrive. This light and airy mixed spring floral arrangement is one of those. Of course this is not something that guests can see over or through when seated at the table, so I have an alternative when guests are asked to gather and take a seat at the table.

In this photo you can see the white vases around the large clear vase.

I have moved the large arrangement to a side table where it can still be enjoyed and added one more of the white vases to the row of vases to the middle of the table. Therefore, there are still flower centerpieces on the table, but much more manageable.

I used the same flowers in the individual vases that I had used in the large arrangement, including peonies, iris, ranunculus, and lilies.

Below you can see how I lined up the row of vases with the blooms to replace the large mixed arrangement.

Whenever possible, I like to add something special to the top of each plate stack when styling a table. I actually ordered one set of these little white bunnies just for some general Easter decor, but when they arrived I was sold on using them for this table. I quickly ordered a second set and will happily send them home with each of my dinner guests!

Each of the three bunnies is in a different pose. I don’t think I could even pick a favorite among them.

The scattered hydrangea print of the tablecloth is like a garden right here on my table!

White pierced edge chargers ground my place settings. Larabee Road Platinum dot dinner plates and dessert plates by Kate Spade are divided by a jade green scallop edge salad plate from The Pioneer Woman line for Walmart.

I never had good stemware so last year I treated myself to some beautiful crystal that I found on Replacements.com. This pattern is Navarre in clear. If you are looking for a unique crystal pattern or just need to complete a set you have started, Replacements might be what you need!

This silverware was handed down to me by my mother and some of the pieces came from my grandmother. These are a true treasure.

Set an elegant table with some of your favorite dishes, add some flowers and little bunnies and celebrate Easter!

  1. Very nice tablescape!! I am eyeing my grandmother’s Fostoria American cake pedestal right now and deciding what kind of cake for Easter dinner will reside. I gave my granddaughter Navarre for her wedding. Using family things makes me happy.

  2. This is a beautiful table Chloe! The plate stack is so pretty and the bunnies on top are adorable. The little vases down the center are lovely and moving your showstopper centerpiece to a side table was the perfect way to enjoy both arrangements while dining. I love how the jadite plate picks up the green in the tablecloth – I have that tablecloth too (also from several years ago) and have yet to style it so it was great to see your take on it. The Navarre is gorgeous and it must be so nice to use the silverware from your mother and grandmother. Wishing you a very happy Easter!
