Setting a Spring Table

Spring is in the air! We are all ready for the coming season! The flowers may not all be in bloom quite yet, but the decorative cabbages in my yard were ready to be replaced before the Florida heat did them in! For me, that is a perfect excuse to style a springy cabbage themed table!

Cabbage leaf placemats on my bare wooden farmhouse table set the scene for this casual table. Down the center of the table I rolled out a faux grass table runner.

Soft pink chargers with a fine gold edge are topped with jade green dinner plates from the Pioneer Woman’s Walmart collection and finished off with a white cabbage patterned salad plate.

In order to add a little bit of color to this table setting, I mixed up the napkins alternating celery green with soft pink. The little cabbage napkin rings are a treasured purchase from years ago at Pier One.

I had only picked up four of these napkin rings and my dear next door neighbor, knowing how I love to style tables surprised me with four more! How wonderful that I was able to use all eight to set this fun table!

The centerpiece was decided easily with me wanting to use the decorative cabbages from my yard, but I wanted to add some color, too. A couple of heads of cabbage fashioned into vases and filled with pink, green and white flowers.

Tulips, peonies, ranunculus, chrysanthemums and green hydrangeas added the color the table needed!

If you would like to make your own cabbage centerpieces, you can learn how I made them at How to Make a Cabbage Vase for a Pretty Spring Centerpiece.

Keep your flowers all green and style this table for St. Patrick’s Day! Celebrate with a meal of corn beef and cabbage!
