Anatomy of a Party – “Time for a Party,” Part IV: One week to go!

The “time/clock” themed cocktail party is just around the corner, so it’s time to start finalizing lists and begin shopping! If you haven’t followed my posts about this celebration, you’ll want to catch up!

White dishes, rustic table, clocks, slate cheese board, cake plates, pedestal cake plate

The first stops included The Home Depot for a roll of builder’s paper for my main food table, doilies from JoAnn’s, and searching for extra long food picks at Party City.

Clocks, time for a party, white dishes, casserole dish, casserole dishes.

I like the couple of clocks I have collected for the party, but I would like to pick up a couple of more if  I can find any that would be suitable.  The other thing I need to go shopping for is some assorted Kraft paper boxes.  I am looking forward to seeing how these look on my table, and how I incorporate them into my design.

Crystal, white paper doilies, dining room, dining table, silver, white

In contrast to the food table, the dessert table is going to be all white and crystal and pink!    I have been digging out dishes to see what needs washed, what needs polished, and what I might have to purchase to display all of the foods I have planned!  Off to the stores, I need a couple of pedestal dishes still, some chalk for my slate cheeseboards, and drip-less candles.  Time to start writing more lists!

  1. So happy to have found you through Amy’s Party Ideas. Your work is amazing and inspiring. What a great resource for ideas. I’ve been drooling here while on my stationary bike and ended up riding longer then I planned. Double bonus for me!!!
