Fun Halloween Mantel Decor

Your mantel is the perfect place to begin getting ready for the Halloween holiday season! Dig out all of your favorite Halloween mantel decorations or plan something totally new this year. Get your creative juices flowing by thinking about your mantel size, the color, etcetera when deciding on your Halloween mantel decor ideas. I am showing you what my white Halloween mantel decor is this year. If you have a dark wood mantel, you might want to alter the colors to something warmer. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, but instead of traditional oranges, I decided to go PINK this year!

The focal point of my mantel is a pair of mirrors, each with the word, “BOO” made with vinyl letters stuck to it. A mantel is a perfect place to prop up some mirrors or add a spooky piece of artwork in a black frame. A great way to use an empty picture frame is to drape some spider webs across it and tuck some creepy spiders into the webs.

Use faux pumpkins to line up along your mantel as shown here. One of the first things I did to get started on this spooky mantel was to paint all of my pumpkins in shades of pink. Painted pumpkins are an easy way to get just the look you want for Halloween.

Flocked pink skulls and a few black glittery spiders are tucked among the pink pumpkins. A few black leaves were also tucked between the pumpkins for contrast.

The floral arrangements I added to each end of my mantel added to the spooky look I was going for. At first I was just going to paint some tree branches and put them in the vases, but I felt I needed something more significant for my fireplace mantel decor.

These tall arrangements are great for flanking the ends of the mantel with the shorter pumpkins down the center of the mantel.

Bats cut out of shades of pink were attached to the mirrors and the wall. Paper bats are simple items that can be cut out in any color scheme to coordinate with your Halloween decorated house.

You can go with a glam Halloween mantel by incorporating a variety of sizes of mirrored disco balls. I didn’t include them in my mantel, but used them to suggest the bubbles in three cauldrons in my fireplace. A fireplace is a perfect spot for incorporating cauldrons!

If you want to avoid the extra cost of decorating your mantel for Halloween, just use traditional orange faux pumpkins and tuck in some dollar store spiders. Then, just pull out the spiders and add some faux fall leaves!
