Fall wreaths are the perfect way to welcome the beauty of the season into your home, and creating your own is a fun and rewarding project. With just a few simple materials, you can craft a beautiful piece of decor that reflects the warmth and colors of autumn. Whether you’re an experienced DIYer or new to crafting, this step-by-step guide will help you create a stunning wreath that will impress all your guests this fall season!

Begin this project with a 22 inch grapevine wreath form. You don’t want a wreath to be too large that your sign will not fit just right on the wreath form.

Head to your local Dollar Tree store and find a spiced apple cider sign like this one!

You can find artificial apples like this by the bag at Michaels. these apples were just a little too red to coordinate with the sign, so they may need a little customizing with acrylic paint.

I used acrylic paint in tan and burgundy to change up the apples. A thin coat of the Cafe Au Lait all over the apple making sure to keep the brush strokes in a vertical pattern mimicking the pattern you would find on a real apple. Next, add a very light coat of Deep Burgundy sparingly to get that more realistic look on your apples.

As you finish painting an apple, compare it to the others you have already done to make sure they will look good together.

Here is my stack of painted apples, all ready to add to my wreath.

Select some faux fall leaves that coordinate with the sign you have selected. You can take the sign shopping with you to make sure you select a good match.

Use E6000 adhesive to attach your sign securely to the grapevine wreath. Use an apple amount of the adhesive all along the boards at both the top and the bottom of the sign, adding more if needed along the grapevine wreath wherever your sign touches the wreath.

Take your branches and cut them into smaller pieces so you can easily attach to your wreath.

Use the stem of your leaves and tuck it down into the grapevine wreath. After you are happy with where it is, you can add some hot glue or your favorite adhesive to secure them.

Stick a wooden skewer or heavy weight floral wire into the bottom of your apples. Secure that skewer or wire with hot glue so that the apple does not slip off of it. Then slide that skewer into the grapevine wreath and add hot glue to secure it.

Continue adding the leaves and apples all the way around your wreath until you are happy with the look.
