This is the next post in my alphabet series..”L” is for lanterns!

This lantern is one I have had for years. For interest this year I filled this with a set of nine flameless candles. These candles come with a remote control and can be set with a timer, perfect for adding a cozy glow in the evenings. Tuck a garland of fall leaves around your lanterns for a fall feel.

This pair of openwork lanterns are easy to decorate for fall with the addition of fall leaf and bittersweet garlands and trimmed with a plaid fall ribbon.

Lanterns don’t have to hold candles. For this fall table, I filled these small galvanized lanterns with fall faux fruits.

You can fill lanterns with any number of items, tiny pumpkins, faux artichokes, or pinecones for example.

These very reasonably priced lanterns are from Target and are just perfect to add elegance and style to your home for any season!

These modern polished nickel lanterns are designed to use outdoors, but of course will add beauty to any place you choose to use them indoors!

Lanterns don’t have to be used on a tabletop. For this Christmas table, I ran the table runner down onto the floor and flanked it with a pair of oversized lanterns.

The same lanterns were used on the tabletop for this summer beach inspired table. In addition to the candles, I filled these seashells around the base of the candles.

As you can see, lanterns are a perfect addition to your fall home decor, bringing warmth, ambiance, and seasonal charm to any space. From glowing candlelight to beautifully styled vignettes with pumpkins and leaves, the possibilities are endless. Whether you’re updating your porch or adding a cozy touch to your living room, lanterns offer a simple yet impactful way to celebrate the beauty of autumn. I hope these ideas have inspired you to get creative with your own fall decorating. Happy decorating, and may your home be filled with the cozy glow of the season!
