Set a Christmas Tablescape with fresh Evergreens

The wonderful fragrance of fresh evergreens is so great to have in the house during the holidays. With an artificial tree, you lose that, so I compensate for that by adding fresh greens to my home in other ways. Setting a table with a fresh evergreen centerpiece is one way to do just that.

These red and white salad plates that I picked up someplace years ago are always fun to bring out at Christmastime. The bird motif makes me want to add cardinals to my holiday decor.

Anytime you are styling a themed table like this Christmas tablescape, if you are able to add some decor to your chandelier, it elevates the theme and draws the eyes of your guests up. I added snowy flocked garlands to my chandelier tied up with red velvet ribbons.

You can’t beat an evergreen centerpiece with red ornaments and red velvet ribbons. I love a candle in a glass chimney for a classic look for a Christmas tablescape.

White pierced chargers were nestled on white faux fur placemats and topped with red rimmed Kate Spade dinner plates. My red handled flatware is something I tend to always bring out this time of year.

In addition to the traditional centerpiece I added to fresh evergreen wreaths and filled the hole in the center of them with assorted red Christmas ornaments.

My holiday chalkboard with my fantasy gingerbread style houses on it overlooks this casual holiday table. More snowy garland frames the chalkboard.
