7 Ideas for Your Fourth of July Celebration

It’s time to get ready for Fourth Of July 2015! I can’t believe its already here. The morning of the Fourth our family will be walking downtown to see the Fourth of July parade. Then we will spend time together at home relaxing, BBQing and trying to stay cool! I know I’ll be making some homemade ice cream and putting together a recipe for grilled corn on the cob but I’m not 100% sure about everything else. I have been searching around the internet for food and decor inspiration and here are seven ideas for the seventh month of the year! Are you ready? Here we go!

1. Fourth of July Firecracker Cupcakes

Fourth of July Firecracker Cupcakes

I made these beauties last year and they turned out so cute. They are easy too. The firecracker is created with a marshmallow dipped in red candy melts. Your guests are sure to be impressed – or what fiery dessert to bring along to a Fourth of July picnic! Please, head on over to the original post for my full instructions on how to create these cupcakes – I might just recreate them again this year!

2. Memphis Style Back Ribs

As you might know, after many years without a grill here in Florida, I now have a big beautiful grill in my backyard! I now don’t have to pass up BBQ recipes on Pinterest or blogs I frequent. Over at Sweet Sensations Sandra shared a recipe and her experience for slow cooking ribs – yum! While I’m not sure that I will dedicate the time to try this recipe this coming week, these ribs sure do sound and look so yummy. And hopefully I will find some time to try this recipe soon! I’ve looked at this post a few times now and each time Sandra’s pictures have made me hungry! Swing by Sweet Sensations to take a look!

3. Patriotic Stars and Stripes Fabric Bunting

Patriotic bunting is a great way to decorate for the Fourth of July and it is relatively affordable these days. At just under $14 it would not be too far out of reach to decorate my wrap around front porch with several of these. Order now at Amazon and you can have just in time to decorate your own space in time for your July 4 celebrations.

4.Power Berry Salad with Raspberry Vinaigrette

Doesn’t this salad looks yummy AND patriotic? Pattie over at Olla-Podrida shared this beautiful salad and I think it would look great served on Fourth of July with its use of red and blue it fits right in! Head on over to Olla-Podrida and grab the recipe!

5. Patriotic Inflatable Buffet Cooler

Having a large gathering outside for Fourth of July? Try this buffet cooler. Perfect for filling with ice and cold refreshment. You could even set bowls of food that needed to be chilled in here. Definitely try to place this in the shade and keep stocked with ice – I know in the hot Florida sun the ice wouldn’t last too long. Still, this is a fun way to add decoration and functionality to your gathering. Amazon has this one for sale for only $12.

6. DIY Patriotic Rocket Favors

patriotic-party-favorWant to provide your Fourth of July guests with a token they can with them? This clever tutorial by Dee at The CSI Project will guide you in creating your very own rocket favors. Fill them with small candies and/or toys for the kids… and adults to enjoy!

7. Strawberry Icebox Cake (…yes, it is no bake)

This looks delicious! Amy from Chew Out Loud created this beautiful dessert. It would look perfect on a Fourth of July table. Add some blueberries would make it ever more patriotic! Remember… its no bake, so you don’t have to turn on that oven in the heat of the summer. Stop by Chew Out Loud to grab the recipe!

That’s my list – I hope it inspired you for your own festivities. Do you know what you’ll be doing for the Fourth this year? Let me know in the comments below!
