Beautiful Fall Mantel and Hearth
Fall Mantel
Before we redid our fireplace the first time, I went all traditional styling a fall mantel and hearth. It is fun to look back and see how I styled it before we added our blue tile and took out the funky electric fireplace.

It has been difficult to find Indian corn here in Florida, but I finally came up with a few ears to tuck along my mantel and by my basket on the hearth.
I styled my mantel beginning with a magnolia leaf garland. I have previously used for my Christmas Mantel.
Craft picks with pinecones, leaves, acorns and cotton bolls were added to my magnolia leaf garland.
I used both gold faux antlers and a real antler on my mantel and then filled in with various fall picks, faux gourds and pumpkins. I filled a bushel basket with Fall florals and pumpkins. In the back behind the large gold pumpkin I used a wreath of oak leaves. You don’t always have to use a wreath AS a wreath. I once used the same wreath beneath a basket for an arrangement. You can see that here at How to Make a Fall Arrangement.
I didn’t want to put away my big glass jars that usually adorn my fireplace, so I just added a small Fall swag to a couple of them and clustered them on one corner of my hearth.
A couple of my favorite finds were these faux magnolia blossoms that look like they are faded and the faux dried up artichokes. These were the perfect additions to finish off my Fall mantel. Stay tuned for my Halloween mantel coming up in a few short weeks!
Beautiful arrangement for a huge fireplace.
Thank you Francie. Yes, that fireplace dominates the room and I really have to do things to soften it.
Gorgeous mantel! Oh my, that would also look terrific on a dining table that’s used infrequently throughout the season!
Thank you Rita, yes, that would be a great place to have a runner like that.
Chloe, what a beautiful and elegant mantel!! Love the lush autumn colors mixed with the gold!
Thank you Pam. Gold and brown are sort of my theme for Fall this year.
This is beautiful! Thank you so much! I love this!
Terrific fall mantel! I really like the fullness of it and the colours you used look so rich. You’ve definitely proven that even a mantel with a TV over it can be decorated beautifully. Those magnolia leaves and antlers look fab!
Thank you so much Lori. I was really happy with how it turned out this year!
This is very pretty!
Thank you Stacey.
Beautiful Chloe, love the elements you’ve chosen and the gold accents. I’ve just about gotten Halloween out of my system, and I’m ready to bring in some calmer November decor- your mantel and fireplace decorations would work in any style home, just lovely!
Thank you Jenna. I put up my Halloween early this year, took my pictures and in true blogger form, took it down two weeks ago and did my Fall! Next week, time to begin Christmas!
Gorgeous and elegant describes your mantel! Love the pretty magnolia garland full of wonderful fall pumpkins, seasonal gourds, berries etc. and great antlers.
Thank you so much Bonnie. I only wish I had taken pictures of the “how to”, alas, next year!
Your mantel is lovely. Love the garland. It is rich with so many fall items. My Halloween is still up, because we had some dinner parties. One more halloween dinner party to go and then it’s gone.
After seeing your beautiful decor I’m more convinced than ever that I need antlers. I don’t know how you’re going to pack this away at the end of the season it’s so pretty. However, I know you have something gorgeous up your sleeve for Christmas!
Oh Sandra, I don’t know where I am going to pack it all either. I am emptying Christmas bins to put the Halloween stuff away, but after Christmas I am going to have a little issue! I finally think my style is coming around, very full, very lush, what I kind of think of as very Pottery Barn “ish”.
Everything is so beautiful! I love the gold antlers, wow what a great idea! Thanks for all the wonderful Autumn decorating ideas!
Thank you Janine, and thanks for stopping by Celebrate Your Story!
Really wonderfull!
Thank you Renata!
Your mantel is gorgeous, Chloe. I love how lush it looks. Thanks for partying with us at Snickerdoodle. Pinning.
Thank you Beverly.
I really love that mantle. Where’d you find the Magnolia garland?
Thank you Angela. I got that garland a few years ago at a place in Sandusky, Ohio called K & K Interiors. They do sell online to businesses, but you have to go directly to their stores to purchase otherwise. The garlands were $9.99 for a six foot garland, so my husband just kept pulling out more and more of the, I think we bought 10 or so at that great price!
Gorgeous arrangements, Chloe. I love the magnolia and dried artichoke – very close to real-looking.
This is definitely a statement piece and a beautiful one at that!
Thank you Sandra!
Beautiful Fall mantel decor. I love how lush it is and the gold antlers are an inspired addition!
