Celebrate Your Story! #182

Celebrate Your Story! Link Party

Today is Memorial Day.  This is the day that here in the United states we honor those who have served in the military and given their lives for the freedoms we enjoy in America today.  Today I want to extend my thanks to any of you, my readers, who have lost family members in the military service.  I have decorated my front porch with red, white and blue and American flags.  My patriotic decorations will stay up through July.  I will be sharing all of the decorations in the coming weeks!

Little cake with pink paper flower decorations.

This pretty in pink Princess Party and Centerpiece shared last week by Karin’s Kottage.  I love anything pink and this lovely party has all of the elements!  Garden statuaryI am so happy that summer is just around the corner, because that means we are all going to be treated to the lovely gardens from Everyday Living.  Pam’s garden looks like a municipal garden, it is so beautiful.  Last week she shared The May Garden.  I am looking forward to the June, July and August ones too!Sweet potato friesDo you love sweet potato fries?  I am not a fan of sweet potatoes per se, but the fries, oh yes, bring them on!  Of course, if I am going to indulge, I would want to go with baked ones.  The Lazy Budget Chef shared her recipe and I know I will be trying it! Slice of Chocolate Pound Cake The most clicked link last week has us all hungering for chocolate and cake!  This Chocolate Pound Cake recipe comes from The Kitchen is My Playground.  Tracey has a secret ingredient for her chocolaty flavor, but you have to visit her site to see what it is!
