10 Ideas for The Fourth of July

I love all of the celebrations surrounding the Fourth of July.  I don’t know why it appeals to me so, maybe because it is summertime and our summers are supposed to be a little more carefree.  Perhaps the fireworks just shout out CELEBRATE! to me.  Decorate your mantel by just adding some dollar store flags and some painted wooden stars to your current decorations.  Make these fun firecracker cakes that are totally NO BAKE!  Attend a small town Fourth of July parade!  There is nothing like it, so American!  Paint some terra cotta pots in patriotic colors and add some fun noisemakers for the kids to have their own celebration, or even a backyard parade!  Paint some letters in red, white and blue for a patriotic centerpiece.  Make these fun firecracker cupcakes to delight guests at your holiday cookout!  Don’t let anyone light them, they are completely edible!  Dress up the kids in red, white and blue from head to toe, and make sure you take lots of pictures!  Trim a burlap wreath with a vintage style tray to welcome guests and delight passers by this July.  Set a red, white and blue table for two on the back porch, this was has a nautical feel to it!  Decorate a chalkboard with a patriotic message!  Finish off the night with s’mores!  What could be better?
